CLASS OF 2022| UISZ毕业生完美收官!

Farewell Message 恩师寄语

Dear UISZ graduates,

Congratulations on the completion of your International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

You are leaving UISZ and entering the world at a very unusual time. The global pandemic has changed the way we live our lives, the way we study, the way we work, and the way we relate to one another. You have done a great job adapting to these new circumstances. You should be proud of yourselves as your family, friends and teachers certainly are.

The pandemic and the new normal that we now live in remind us of the magnitude and complexity of global challenges we are facing today. It has been a vivid reminder of how interconnected our world is, and how much we depend on one another. Your generation will play an important role in tackling old and new challenges, and in creating a better world. This will require working across the borders of countries, and being compassionate and resilient in embracing the diversity of our planet.

My advice to you upon your graduation is to be open-minded, welcome different ideas, and seek cooperation instead of confrontation. Be kind to yourselves, be kind to others, and be kind to the world. I wish you all the best for the future.

Happy graduation!

Yours sincerely,

Ms. Andrea Coutinho Bozzetti
IB Diploma Coordinator

One door shuts another door opens. You may think this is the end of your journey – and of course, in one sense it is – as you are leaving your ‘home’ here at UISZ. But in fact, you are just beginning a new journey that will enable you to choose your own destiny as an adult, and live life to your full potential. It is most important that you listen to and know yourself – and you follow your own calling. Others may tell you to study this and that, do this and that – but you must walk the path alone. You must live your life authentically according to your true beliefs and interests. It is your life – nobody else’s. So seize each day and make the most of it – remember that the greatest learning comes through intellectual and creative play and risk-taking.

Have fun and be bold – you are now the kings and queens of your own future!

How are you feeling now? Excited or happy? Sad or lost? Or both? No matter how you feel recently, please give yourself and your classmates a big hand! Congratulations on completing this challenging journey! Congratulations on being a better person by pushing yourself constantly! When you open the door of this train, when you walk alone towards your future, you will be embraced by sunshine, soft rain and flowers. As well as wrapped by fog and storm, or even darkness. That’s the REAL life. Accept it pleasantly and act positively. May you go long, wish you back young. May you have halcyon days. Meanwhile, never hesitate to create a better world for others! Dear excellent 1B learners, farewell! Take care!

My dear Biology students, you have completed the IBDP Biology course, which is the most rigorous program in the International Baccalaureate list of disciplines … and you did it! As you graduate, always remember, that YOU can do anything! Get creative, follow your passion, chase your dream, and don’t let rejections and setbacks stop you from moving forward. Stay focused on your journey, and always remember the obstacles are there to test your endurance and they cannot stop you from making a difference in this world! You do matter! And I hope for our paths to meet in person someday!

Graduation is just the first rung of your ladder of success. You might imagine that the ladder is too long or too high. Have courage, be bold, and do not be afraid to reach the very top rung of your ladder. You might encounter a broken or missing rung in your ladder. Those are difficulties, trials or challenges in reaching the top. Just hold on to your dreams and continue climbing.

Dream high. Nothing is impossible in this world. Trust yourself. Congratulations!

Dillan, you are a reflective individual who thoughtfully considers the world and your ideas and experience. Your smile offered me good comfort. Jack, you are a sincere inquirer who tirelessly broadens your horizon. I adored your questions beyond the text. Laurence, you are a thoughtful and polite communicator.

Our primary learners appreciated your kind and interactive explanation of how to build your CAS portfolio. William, you served as a principled leader who took a great responsibility with integrity and a strong sense of justice. Our school community deeply appreciates your continuous and positive commitment. Max, we were fortunate to have you as a balanced artist. Your outstanding performance on the volleyball court and in the Art exhibition achieved well-being for yourself and our community. Tony, you are a fearless risk-taker. Your high-spirited speech motivated us to come out of our comfort zone. And Selina, you are an open-minded leader who attentively appreciates different points of view and the values of others. Your devoted contribution to Year 12 built the year group into a more colourful and inclusive family. It has been one of my most remarkable experiences with the Class of 2022.

Thank you, and take care!

Dear Seniors,

This is this bittersweet time of the year when we, teachers, have to let you go… This is your time to fly out of the Utahloy nest.

Today, you have a rendezvous with your future, let the adventure begin!

First, I would like to congratulate each one of you on your IB  journey. I have been lucky to spend some time with you all

DP French Teacher during Week Without Walls; throughout these 4 days, I got to know you as a group and as individuals, and it was nice to see you go. What amazed me was your obvious bond, your enthusiasm and positivity, the way you were operating -like a small family, and the fact that you were constantly taking care of each other. 1B students in action!

Now, I also know who can set up a tent being blindfolded, who never stops rock climbing, who is constantly singing, who is afraid of spiders and crickets, who can’t stand on a paddle board and who likes to prepare ginger tea!

Finally, over the two past years, I had the chance and privilege to teach French to two of you: two wonderful individuals, unbelievably hard-working, resilient, and committed students. I couldn’t be prouder of your achievements.

To all of you, good luck! I hope we will meet again somewhere in the world.

Ms Valentine Denizeau

All Year 12’s, congratulations! What should I say to young people who are looking forward to the future? Follow your heart and move forward with no fear. There are so many opportunities forward in your future. As long as you try, there are unlimited possibilities. At the same time, don’t ignore the scenery along the way, and don’t forget the people who care about you.

12年级,恭喜!我应该对期待未来的年轻人说些什么?跟随你的心,无惧前行。你的未来有很多机会。只要你尝试,就有无限可能。同时,不要忽视沿途的风景,也不要忘记关心你的人。
