PD DAYS

UIS Educators
In October, following the National Day holiday in 2025, teachers from UIS Guangzhou and Zengcheng campuses came together for enriching Professional Development (PD) Days. While students had not yet returned to school, the campus was already buzzing with intellectual energy and a shared passion for learning.
Teachers from both the Primary and Secondary divisions immersed themselves fully in the sessions, recharging and preparing for the new term ahead.
01
Cross-Campus Collaboration:
Building a Learning Community

Cross-Campus
This PD Day was not just for the Guangzhou-based faculty; teachers from the Zengcheng campus also joined, making it a truly collaborative event. Educators from both campuses sat together, exchanging experiences and sharing methodologies, fostering genuine growth across our school network.
This collaboration not only strengthened ties between the campuses but also allowed teachers to gain diverse perspectives, bringing renewed energy and ideas into their classrooms.

02
Targeted Training
for Specific Needs

Targeted Training
The professional development sessions were carefully tailored to the different school sections:
- Primary sessions focused on curriculum mapping, data analysis, literacy, and concept-based teaching, emphasizing practical strategies for immediate classroom application.
- Secondary sessions, particularly for the DP level, featured external facilitators leading specialized workshops on guiding extended essays and assessment strategies.
- Other key discussion areas included curriculum alignment, assessment strategies, and global citizenship.
The training went beyond passive listening; it was highly interactive. Teachers collaborated in groups, bouncing ideas off one another and mastering new tools through hands-on activities, ensuring they could directly apply their learning.

03
Continuous Learning
for Better Student Outcomes

Continuous Learning
Regular professional development reflects UIS commitment to educational quality and teacher growth. Through these opportunities, educators refresh methods, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration. At the heart of education is influence—and continuously growing teachers are best positioned to illuminate students’ futures.

We look forward to seeing our teachers apply these PD insights in their classrooms to further nurture student growth.

- 小学部围绕课程规划、数据分析、读写能力、概念教学等主题展开,注重实用性与课堂转化;
- 中学部则特别邀请了外部讲师,为DP阶段的教师开展专题工作坊,深入探讨学科论文指导与评估策略;
