Y4 Annual Business Bonanza
4年级年度商业嘉年华

We are excited to share the incredible learning journey that led up to our annual Business Bonanza, a cherished tradition for Year 4 at our school. This year, the event was a tremendous success! 

我们迫不及待想和大家分享年度「商业嘉年华」背后的成长故事——这场我校四年级最具传承意义的特色活动，今年再度引爆校园！

The Business Bonanza marked the culmination of our unit of inquiry under the transdisciplinary theme, “How We Organise Ourselves.” Throughout this unit, students developed essential skills, including planning, time management, and social skills. They practiced working collaboratively in groups, making decisions, and finding compromises. Additionally, they explored fundamental economic concepts such as supply and demand. 

作为“我们如何组织自己”跨学科主题探究单元的实践成果，商业嘉年华见证了孩子们全方位的成长。在筹备过程中，小企业家们不仅掌握了规划统筹、时间管理、社交协作等核心技能，更通过小组合作学习民主决策与协商沟通。他们对”供求关系”等经济概念的探索，让理论知识与商业实践擦出智慧火花。

Students conducted market research using Forms to gather valuable insights and feedback for their products. They also learned how to communicate effectively via formal emails with school staff, which enhanced their communication skills. Engaging in product development allowed them to bring their ideas to life in a creative and practical way.  

学生们通过Forms表单开展市场调研，收集产品改进建议；学习使用正式邮件与教职工沟通，提升专业交流能力；在创意实践中将天马行空的点子转化为实体产品。这场知行合一的学习之旅，让每个孩子都获得了全方位的成长。

The day of the fair was a great success, with participation from students ranging from K3 to Year 6, as well as teachers, staff, and Year 4 parents. 

嘉年华当天，幼儿园K3到六年级的全体师生、教职工以及四年级家长共同见证了这场盛会。

Year 4 Business Bonanza

This event showcased our students’ agency and the application of their knowledge and skills in a fun and meaningful way. Their hard work and dedication paid off, as they raised an impressive 14,183 yuan! With the profits, students funded a thrilling field trip to Sports Monster. 

学生们以寓教于乐的方式，完美展现了自主学习力与知识应用能力。他们的辛勤付出最终收获了14,183元的骄人业绩！孩子们用收益组织了刺激的”运动萌兽”（Sports Monster）主题研学。

They also decided to give back to the community by donating 4,415 yuan, which was split equally among Golden Paws, Brew Heart Coffee, and Homeless Love. 

他们更将4,415元善款平均捐赠给Golden Paws（流浪动物救助）、Brew Heart Coffee（心智障碍者支持）和Homeless Love（街头关爱）三个公益机构，让商业智慧闪耀人文光辉。

We are incredibly proud of our students’ learning journey throughout this unit, and the Business Bonanza was a fantastic way to celebrate their achievements. Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in this wonderful event!
