Y4 Annual Business Bonanza<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

We are excited to share the incredible learning journey that led up to our annual Business Bonanza<\/strong>, a cherished tradition for Year 4 at our school. This year, the event was a tremendous success!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Business Bonanza marked the culmination of our unit of inquiry under the transdisciplinary theme, “How We Organise Ourselves.”<\/strong> Throughout this unit, students developed essential skills, including planning, time management, and social skills<\/em>. They practiced working collaboratively in groups, making decisions, and finding compromises<\/strong>. Additionally, they explored fundamental economic concepts such as supply and demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Students conducted market research<\/strong> using Forms to gather valuable insights and feedback for their products. They also learned how to communicate effectively via formal emails<\/strong> with school staff, which enhanced their communication skills. Engaging in product development allowed them to bring their ideas to life in a creative and practical way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The day of the fair was a great success, with participation from students ranging from K3 to Year 6, as well as teachers, staff, and Year 4 parents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Year 4 Business Bonanza<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event showcased our students’ agency and the application of their knowledge and skills in a fun and meaningful way. Their hard work and dedication paid off, as they raised an impressive 14,183 yuan<\/strong>! With the profits, students funded a thrilling field trip to Sports Monster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

They also decided to give back to the community by donating 4,415 yuan<\/strong>, which was split equally among Golden Paws, Brew Heart Coffee, and Homeless Love<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
