The 2026 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) core subject examinations will officially begin tomorrow (April 9). Today, UISZ (Utahloy International School Zengcheng) D12 students, led by Mr. Austin Zhang, Head of Secondary School (HKDSE), and their homeroom teacher, departed for Hong Kong to take the exams.

This week has been unusually quiet on campus, as secondary students are away on their annual Week Without Walls (WWW). While we have missed their energy, we know they are building resilience and friendships outdoors.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last weekend for the UEF Family Day and the grand opening of our new UISG Dragon House. Your presence made the celebration truly special.

This year, four DP2 Visual Arts students from UISZ invite you on an exploratory journey into “complexity.” From intimate internal struggles to the delicate bloom of cultural flowers; from the vast dialogue between light and darkness in the cosmos to the ineffable subtleties of human connection—Common Complexities is more than an exhibition. It is a visual narrative woven from two years of artistic inquiry.

We sincerely invite you and your child to join us for the UISZ Book Festival (April 16-24), and experience together the importance, fun, and joy of reading!

We are thrilled to announce that Anna, a talented member of the UISZ Class of 2026, has secured admission to five world-leading institutions in art and design—earning prestigious scholarships from two of America’s most renowned art schools.

UTAHLOY The 2026 UEF Family Day has concluded successfully, bringing together the UISG and UISZ communities in a vibrant celebration of unity and belonging. The day began with the grand opening of our brand-new boarding house—a milestone marking UEF’s continued commitment to holistic education. Ms. Dorothy, Board Director and Chair of the UEF Board, was joined by UIS Superintendent Dr. Dan, Head of Boarding Mostafa, IB student representative Bosco, and DSE student representative Chole to officially inaugurate this state-of-the-art facility. Parents and students then had the opportunity to explore the thoughtfully designed living spaces, envisioning the growth and independence this home-away-from-home will foster.

In the era of the Greater Bay Area, the HKDSE has become a vital bridge connecting Hong Kong students with the world’s top universities. As an IB World School with 28 years of educational excellence, UISG leverages its international education expertise to offer a HKDSE programme that blends Hong Kong academic rigour with global perspectives for students aged 15-18.

First, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the parents who have been attending our ongoing Korean University visits and information sessions. Your active involvement in supporting your child’s future educational journey is truly valued and greatly appreciated. We are excited to provide these opportunities for our families!

Last week, our youngest learners embarked on a delightful educational journey to the Guangzhou Zoo. While our children were thrilled to encounter pandas, tigers, and giraffes, this adventure was far more than wildlife observation. It was a living classroom—a vibrant extension of our IB PYP Unit of Inquiry.
