Welcome back, everyone! It’s been wonderful to see all our boarders return from the holidays. Breaks give us all a chance to reflect on past events, and with the school year moving at such a pace, it’s refreshing to look back and see the great memories we’ve already created.
This week, two key topics have taken center stage in the boarding house: the importance of sleep and WiFi use. The research is clear — sleep is critical for students’ learning, well-being, and overall mental health. Studies show that adequate sleep not only improves academic performance but also plays a vital role in emotional regulation and reduces the risk of anxiety, depression, and stress.
Another week has flown by, and we are truly getting into the swing of things here in our boarding community. I want to commend our boarding students for smoothly settling into their routines, demonstrating excellent time management skills, and actively engaging in their studies. It’s been wonderful to see them making full use of the resources available to them.

The second week of the year has now come to an end with an increased dive into inquiry, investigation, and learning. Our students are slowly but surely getting their rhythm and should attain cruise speed very shortly.
