On September 15, the DSE Department of UISZ successfully held a dual-themed event celebrating both the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day under the title “Enjoy the Charm of Traditional Chinoiserie When the Full Moon.” The activity highlighted traditional Chinese culture while emphasizing the school’s multicultural communication.

The event commenced vibrantly at the MFH, hosted by Student Council representative Leo Park and Grade 10 student Lin Enshan. The two hosts seamlessly switched between Chinese and English, warmly welcoming all participants and thoughtfully introducing the theme of the event, setting a truly multicultural tone for the celebration. This was followed by a captivating  performance.

Students then delivered bilingual poetry recitations and shared Mid-Autumn stories in both Chinese and English, demonstrating not only cultural pride but also strong English communication skills.

The interactive session featured multiple engaging stations: Hanfu dressing, traditional lantern DIY, mooncake making, and a charity sale of Chinese-style accessories. Throughout these activities, students and teachers freely communicated in English, further enriching the cross-cultural experience.

The event concluded with a DIY work sharing session and a group photo. This activity not promoted traditional Chinese culture but also strengthened the multicultural community at UISZ, showcasing how students seamlessly integrate Eastern traditions with Western language expression.

DSE students, many from Hong Kong backgrounds, played a key role in leading and presenting activities, embodying the spirit of cultural ambassadors and reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing globally minded learners.

月满华诞，风雅同舟

活动在学校多功能厅热闹开幕，由学生会代表Leo Park同学和十年级林恩善同学共同主持。两位主持人以中英双语流畅切换，生动热情地欢迎全场师生，并巧妙引出活动主题，为整场活动奠定了跨文化共融的基调。随后，一场精彩的开场表演正式拉开帷幕。

随后，DSE学部学生带来了深情的国风诗朗诵与中秋故事分享，以中英双语娓娓道来，展现了他们不仅对中华文化有深刻理解，也具备流畅的英文表达能力。

互动体验环节更是精彩纷呈：汉服打卡区吸引了众多中外学生试穿传统服饰，体验东方美学；灯笼DIY和月饼制作工作坊中，学生们亲手创作，感受中华手工艺的匠心独运；国风饰品义卖则传递了爱心与文化并重的理念。整个过程中，师生们用英语积极交流，跨越语言与文化的障碍，共同沉浸在中华传统节日的温馨氛围

闭幕环节，学生们分享了自己的DIY作品，并进行了集体大合影，为活动画上圆满的句号。本次活动不仅弘扬了中华文化，更强化了UISZ作为国际社区的多元包容性与跨文化沟通力。

DSE学部的“港宝”学生们在此次活动中表现出色，他们用中英文双语自信地展示文化底蕴，真正体现了“风雅同舟”的主题精神。
