Yesterday’s Student Leadership Elections & House Award Assembly was a powerful highlight. We were inspired by candidates for School, Service, Sports, and Boarding Captain, who delivered thoughtful speeches and creative videos. More than a campaign, it was a profound demonstration of student voice and leadership in action. Congratulations to all for your courage in taking on these important roles at UISZ!

Our Soccer Team has been training with incredible focus and enthusiasm. Our Robotics Team has received a special invitation to compete in the IQ VEX Robotics Competition next week at the Canadian International School! This is a wonderful opportunity for our young engineers to showcase their problem-solving, coding, and teamwork skills on an international stage.
我校机器人团队已获特别邀请，将于下周参加在广州加拿大外籍人员子女学校举办的IQ VEX机器人竞赛！这对年轻工程师们而言，是向国际舞台展示其解决问题能力、编程技能及团队协作精神的绝佳机遇。

In Early Years, our youngest learners have been diving into Unit 2: How We Express Ourselves. Through painting, collage, and movement, they’re discovering that art is a powerful way to share emotions. This week, they explored the styles of famous artists like Van Gogh, Mondrian, Munch, and Pollock. Their classroom walls are now vibrant galleries of self-expression; each brushstrokes a voice.

Entrepreneurs in Action! 创业行动！
Our Grade 4 students have been working tirelessly on their business initiative as part of their Unit of Inquiry: How We Organize Ourselves. This week, they designed and crafted beautiful, hand-made lanterns—thoughtfully planned, budgeted, and created using sustainable materials. These lanterns will be sold at the upcoming Festival of Arts, with proceeds supporting a student-chosen cause. Through this project, they’re learning about production, marketing, financial literacy, and social responsibility, all while collaborating with purpose and creativity.
四年级学生正为探究单元“我们如何组织自己”全力以赴开展商业实践。本周他们精心设计并手工制作了精美的灯笼——从构思规划、预算控制到选用可持续材料，每个环节都体现着周密考量。这些灯笼将在即将举办的艺术节上出售，所得收益将用于支持学生自主选择的公益项目。通过这个项目，孩子们在协作中培养了目标意识与创造力，同时学习了生产管理、市场营销、财务知识和社会责任等重要技能。

D12 二模考试 D12 Second Mock Examination
This Week, UISZ campus hosted a critical “real-world rehearsal”—the DSE Grade 12 Mock Exam has officially begun! Designed to fully replicate the formal Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) examination, this mock test mirrors the actual exam in everything from venue setup and procedures to grading standards, providing students with an authentic test-taking experience to prepare them for future challenges.
本周，UISZ的校园迎来了一场重要的“实战演练”——DSE12年级二模考试正式拉开帷幕！本次模拟考试从考场布置、考试流程到评核标准，完全参照香港中学文凭考试（DSE）正式要求，旨在为学生提供最真实的应试体验，助力他们以最佳状态迎接未来的挑战。
2、学生会选举 Student Council Election
This week, in the Student Council election assembly, Form DSE11 student Feng Junlin （Cody）delivered a compelling speech as a candidate for the position of School Captain. With poise and conviction, Cody demonstrated notable leadership potential and a genuine sense of responsibility, reflecting the proactive and dedicated spirit of our students. The election process itself provided a valuable opportunity for all students to engage in democratic practice and develop their communication skills.

Next Wednesday, the House Captains Election will take place. Candidates will present their visions for enhancing house spirit and unity, demonstrating their leadership and commitment to service. This event not only provides students with an opportunity to develop their public speaking and organizational skills but also brings fresh energy to each house, fostering a more collaborative and positive campus community.
下周三，我们将举行 House Captains 竞选。各位候选人将围绕各学院（House）的发展与凝聚力发表演说，展现领导才能与服务热情。此次活动不仅是学生锻炼表达与组织能力的平台，也将为各社注入新的活力，推动校园社区积极向上、团结协作的风气。
3、模拟商赛 Business Simulation 2025
Next week, a group of our DSE students will travel to Chiway Repton School Xiamen to participate in the ASDAN Business Simulation (2025) from December 13 to 14. Working in teams of 6-8 as a “company,” students will engage in multiple rounds of business simulation, including presentations, operations, auctions, and case analysis, experiencing real-world decision-making and market competition.
This off-campus competition provides not only professional exposure to business dynamics but also a valuable opportunity to develop teamwork, strategic thinking, and communication skills. We wish our students a rewarding experience—may they collaborate effectively, think critically, and demonstrate both academic competence and leadership throughout the challenge!
下周，我校部分DSE学生将启程前往 厦门华锐莱普顿学校，参加于 12月13日至14日 举行的 ASDAN 模拟商业挑战（2025）。同学们将以6-8人团队的形式，在全真模拟的商业环境中进行路演、运营、拍卖与案例分析等多轮竞技，体验真实的商业决策与市场竞争。
此次外出参赛不仅是一次专业的商科实践，更是锻炼团队协作、策略思维与临场表达的综合平台。预祝同学们在比赛中沉着应对、默契配合，展现扎实的学术素养与优秀的领导力，在“商学琅琊榜”上留下精彩表现！
