On Wednesday, our wonderful Student Council led a heartfelt assembly to share our updated Recess Agreements with our younger learners. They created and presented a short video—designed by students, for students—to remind everyone how we can make recess a safe, joyful, and inclusive space for all.
A key highlight of the assembly was our discussion around Healthy Snacks Agreements. It was powerful to see them take ownership of the health of their body, and it’s a beautiful example of how IB learners grow into responsible, empathetic global citizens.

To ensure transparency and peace of mind, you will now receive a ManageBac message every time your child visits the nurse’s office—whether it’s for a Band-Aid, a drink of water, a check-in after feeling unwell, or even when a teacher notices your child might need support.
We believe in proactive, thoughtful care. Even small moments matter. If you ever have questions or concerns about your child’s health or the communication you receive, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or your child’s homeroom teacher. Your partnership helps us keep every child safe and supported.

Our class-level WeChat groups are now active—and we’re so grateful to the parents who’ve volunteered to lead them! These groups are designed to help families connect, share updates, coordinate playdates, and celebrate milestones together.
As a gentle reminder: Ms. Yan, homeroom teachers, and I are not members of these groups. This is intentional, to create a space where parents lead, share, and support one another independently. We encourage open, respectful communication, and we’re here if you ever need help bridging any gaps between home and school.

Every year, bullying—both in person and online—impacts countless young lives. Silence allows it to grow. That’s why, in alignment with UNESCO’s International Day Against Violence and Bullying at School, we’re dedicating next week to Bullying Awareness Week.
每年，现实与网络世界中的欺凌行为持续影响着无数青少年的成长。沉默，只会助长它的蔓延。正因如此，我们将下周定为“反欺凌意识周”，与联合国教科文组织“反对校园暴力和欺凌国际日”同步行动。
Our theme this year: “Use Your Power for Good.”

Students across all grade levels will engage in age-appropriate activities designed to help them recognize bullying in all its forms, practice safe ways to speak up, and learn how to support peers who may be struggling. Bus Evacuation Practice – Safety First
校车安全疏散演练——安全第一
Safety is non-negotiable. Next week, we’ll be conducting a school bus evacuation drill to ensure every student knows how to respond calmly and efficiently in the unlikely event of an emergency.
While this is a practice, the impact is very real. These drills build muscle memory, reduce anxiety, and reinforce protocols that could one day save lives. Our students are learning not just what to do, but why it matters.

D11 oral English theme sharing is shared by Jerry, Crystal and Leo respectively. From their sharing process, students not only exercised their oral English, but also fully expanded their world horizons from the travel stories of three students.
D11口语英语主题分享由Jerry、Crystal和Leo分别进行。通过他们的分享过程，学生们不仅锻炼了口语英语，还从三位学生的旅行故事中充分开阔了自己的世界视野。
2、School Leadership Classroom Visits 校领导深入DSE课堂
The school leadership team recently immersed themselves in the teaching frontline by conducting classroom observation activities. They visited DSE curriculum classes, attentively observed the implementation of teaching practices, and meticulously documented both the strengths and areas for improvement in the teaching process. During the subsequent discussion session, school administrators and teachers engaged in in-depth conversations centered on enhancing teaching quality. They exchanged insights on the innovative application of diverse teaching methods such as heuristic teaching and project-based learning, while also focusing on how to effectively stimulate student classroom participation through optimized instructional design. This classroom observation and discussion activity provided valuable reference for promoting teaching reform and innovation, continuously improving educational effectiveness, and will help the school develop a new, higher-quality and more efficient teaching paradigm.

During this House activity, we carefully curated a series of meaningful and engaging segments that significantly strengthened our community bonds. The event commenced with insightful sharing from our outstanding House representatives, whose invaluable insights and practical advice provided clear guidance for members’ personal growth and academic development. This was followed by the “Negative Emotions and Care Strategies” partner game and a lively session of Pictionary. Amid the laughter and cheers, these activities not only showcased creativity, but also further reinforced team camaraderie in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The entire event seamlessly blended inspiration, care, and collaboration.

Let us stand united—students and faculty alike—to deepen our understanding of bullying, commit to connecting with one another through respect and kindness, and work together to foster a school community where everyone feels accepted, respected, and safe to grow.
