Under the glow of the autumn moon, the Mid-Autumn Festival returns — a time-honored celebration of reunion, harmony, and gratitude. From September 15 to 19, students at UISG and UISZ immersed themselves in the beauty and meaning of this cherished tradition through a series of interactive cultural activities, thoughtfully designed by their Chinese classes.
1. Exploring Legends and Customs
Through vivid storytelling, multimedia resources, and lively quizzes, students learned about the festival’s origins and symbolic significance. These engaging lessons deepened their understanding of lunar lore and the values of family and unity embedded in the festival.
2. Creativity in Motion
From crafting delicate paper lanterns to painting poetic moon-themed scenes on white fans, students blended tradition with imagination. Each creation reflected their personal connection to the festival and its timeless themes.

No Mid-Autumn Festival is complete without mooncakes! As students shared these symbolic treats, they exchanged stories and dreams, savoring both the flavors and the spirit of togetherness.

The campus buzzed with excitement during the lantern riddle activity. Students collaborated and cheered as they solved clever puzzles, combining cultural learning with playful teamwork.

“凉夜清秋半，空庭皓月圆。”中秋，这个镌刻在中国文化中的节日，总以最温柔的圆满，照亮人间最美的期盼——团圆、和谐与吉祥。星耀云间，月落江心，时序更迭，又见玉盘高悬。9月15日至19日，值此佳节临近之际，誉德莱外籍人员子女学校广州校区与增城校区的中文课堂，为学生们精心策划了一场融汇古今的知月、品月、画月、探月之旅。学生们在中秋的“圆”中，读出了更深邃的意义。
溯千年文脉，启“知月”之窗。课堂中，广州校区和增城校区的中文老师们以图像讲解、传说、影音、Kahoot趣味问答，将中秋的渊源与传奇娓娓道来。孩子们在声画之间走近月亮，读懂那些源远流长的风俗与诗意。
承古意匠心意，绽“制月”之华。指尖流转，彩纸轻叠，一盏盏独一无二的花灯悄然亮起。传统与新意在此刻交织，文化的种子正悄然发芽。
话团圆之愿，品“明月”之味。以月之圆兆人之团圆，月饼赋予了团圆的寓意。学生们一边品尝着月饼，一边追忆着过往的点点滴滴，畅谈着对未来的美好憧憬，每一口月饼都带来一寸欢喜与满足。
绘扇间诗意，书“画月”之情。孩子们执笔挥毫，在素白扇面上落下天马行空的想象。诗词映月，画意融情——或是明月高悬、桂香暗浮，或见嫦娥舞袖、玉兔偎依。每一幅画，每一首词，都是独一无二的中秋心语。
探谜灯之趣，悟“探月”之妙。猜灯谜现场，笑语不断。彩纸轻飘，谜语藏巧，学生们驻足在洒满阳光的长廊上，或凝神思索，或欢呼顿悟。智慧在猜想间闪光，文化于解谜中流转。
