UISZ Weekly Summary

학생들은 지난 한 주도 UISZ에서 생활하며 배움의 시간을 보냈습니다. 우리는 다음 주에 있을 두 가지 중요한 행사를 준비하면서 한 주를 알차게 보냈습니다. 첫째, 4월 24일에는 연례 환경 교육의 날을 맞아 지구를 기념할 예정입니다.

이번 주 학교 뉴스레터를 소개합니다! 최근 진행된 도서 주간에 있었던 환상적인 행사들을 여러분과 공유하게 되어 기쁩니다. 흥미로운 작가 방문부터 눈길을 사로잡는 도서전, 테마의 날, 학생들의 놀라운 글쓰기 성과에 이르기까지 문학과 창의성에 대한 진정한 축제의 장이었습니다. 도서 주간을 성황리에 개최해 주신 모든 관계자분들과 참가자들에게 진심으로 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.

드디어 다음 주부터 모든 학생들을 위한 일주일간의 방학을 맞이하게 되었습니다. 이번 방학은 새로운 에너지와 집중력으로 학업에 복귀하기 전에 재충전하고 휴식을 취하기에 완벽한 기회가 될 것입니다.

We want to thank all parents and students for their presence today on campus and the constructive discussions held on academics and well-being matters.  Constructive home-school partnership is key to success, and we are confident that today’s parents-students-teachers conferences will help everyone, especially on this last stretch to the end of this academic year. 

3분기의 마지막은 우리 학교 학생들에게 치열했던 한 주였습니다. DSE2 학생들은 첫 번째 영어 시험을 위해 홍콩으로 여행을 떠나면서 DSE 시험 여정을 시작했습니다. 이 어려운 시기를 헤쳐나가는 학생들이 최선을 다하길 바랍니다!

3월의 시작은 지난 달을 마무리하는 것과 거의 비슷하게 열정적으로 시작되었습니다! 지난 주에 Year 10 학생들은 MYP 개인 프로젝트를 발표하며 열정과 연구 능력을 보여주었습니다. 이번 주 초에는 같은 학생들이 IBMYP 모의고사를 완료했습니다. 시험 결과는 학생과 교사가 5월에 있을 온라인 평가에 적절히 대비하기 위해 강점과 보완해야 할 영역을 파악하는 데 도움이 될 것입니다. DP와 DSE 학생들은 다음 달 말에 있을 기말고사를 준비하기 위해 막바지 마무리를 하고 있습니다.

The week that has just passer was definitely marked by a wonderful initiative aimed to get our community together, more knowledgeable, and strive like never before!  The Parent Workshop held a whole day last Thursday was a frank success.

We entered to Year of the Dragon at UISZ last Monday, in the presence of six newcomers whom we welcomed with warmth.  During the week, we also welcomed back our returning students and staff who are surely feeling that there is less time remaining in this academic year than time that have elapsed, but also weigh the amount of exciting and challenging tasks that are yet to accomplish.   

We are entering the year of Dragon, not only here in China, but also in several regions of the world.  May the next two weeks be filled with quality family time, travels and discovery and of course, rest and preparation to the upcoming exams for our Year 10 and seniors. 

We are now three school days away from the Spring Festival and festivities have already started.  Meanwhile, we need to highlight that students will be engaged in learning until all buses leave this coming Wednesday at 12:00 pm.
