Student Life
Student Experiences
In the classroom, we aim to create a safe and pleasant learning environment for both student and teacher. Our students experience a range of different teaching styles, from the more traditional lecture style presentations and rote learning to the more progressive models of project-based learning, online interactive platforms and the flipped classroom.
Student Well-being And Support Services
Utahloy International School Zengcheng (UISZ) is an inclusive school. Our approach to teaching, learning and pastoral care is holistic, taking into consideration ALL students’ needs to support children with social, emotional, behavioural or physical/medical issues.
canteen service
The School Canteen aims to provide high quality, healthy, nutritious food for the entire school community. Students eating healthy food have the energy to participate fully in their academic and co-curricular activities.
steam learning in Action
At UISZ, we recognise the important role that Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) play in our world. These 5 disciplines aim to involve creative processes, critical thinking, ingenuity, and teamwork.
UNIFORMS
We believe that a school uniform provides a sense of pride and communal identity for our internationally diverse student community. The UISZ school uniform is both practical and comfortable, worn by all students from kindergarten until the end of Year 10.
HEALTH & SAFETY
A clinic, staffed by two nurses, is located near the front office and provides services to all students. The nurses are employed by Global Doctor Clinic and have access to immediate support from doctors at the clinic if necessary.
ATHLETICS
PERFORMING ARTS
The Arts are a key aspect to the curriculum at UISZ. For students in the Primary years programme, the arts are offered as specialist subjects, taught within the units of inquiry. The areas incorporated into the PYP programme are Visual Art, Music and Drama.
MUSIC AND ORCHESTRA
At UISZ we believe music is a universal language that all children can speak. In our music program, we aim for our students to be fluent in music as they speak, listen, talk and write in the musical language.
