Dear students, parents, and friends of the UISZ community,
Earlier this afternoon, we waved goodbye to our students and employees as we are all about to enjoy the National Holiday week. We sincerely hope that you will take some well deserved rest over the vacations. We also want to thank our years 3-10 students for the effort displayed during this week’s MAP testing sessions.
Upon our return, the week will be filled with our annual photoshoot and end with our second UPAZ meeting on Friday 14 at 2:00pm.

The first Student-Led conferences will be held on Friday, October 28. Parents and students can register via SchoolBuddy. You should have received an email on that purpose.

IBPYP
K1&K2 early learners have been developing some social and emotional skills in class and all around them. They have been so happy enjoying inquiry through play with their peers these past weeks as they learn fine motor skills and many other learning skills. When at times they feel a bit unhappy or nervous, some calming sensory bottles may help do the tricks. So, in their STEAM class, their little hands were challenged to create their own sensory bottles with fillings and colors of their choice.

K1&K2幼儿园的学习者们已经在课堂和周围发展了一些社交和情感技能。在过去的几周里，他们和同龄人一起玩耍，学习精细运动技能和许多其他学习技能，他们非常开心地享受着探究的乐趣。当他们有时感到有点不高兴或紧张时，一些令人安静的感官瓶可能会帮助他们。

All MYP year groups are busy with their MAP tests this week. MAP stands for Measures of Academic Progress. It is a three-part test that measures student knowledge in reading, language usage and mathematics. It is also a useful tool for both teachers and students as it measures student progress so that teachers can pinpoint weaker areas to work on and stronger areas where students need to be challenged.

Economics
Our main focus on Econimcs: what to produce? For whom? How to produce? As well as production and division of labor, production cycle flow chart, and types of different items. In order to help students to memorize relevant learning points, our homework leads student to draw a mind map according to concepts they have learned. Each student has completed very carefully, with different styles. Secondly, the students demonstrated some entrepreneurship plan and shared their ideas in groups. DSE students learned to appreciate others’ work and ideas at the end.

本周的经济课主要学习了3个基本经济问题：生产什么？为谁生产？如何生产？
以及生产与分工，生产的循环流程图，不同物品的种类。为了让学生更全面的熟悉和记忆相关的知识点，本周的课后作业就是让学生根据所学的知识点画出思维导图，每个学生的思维导图都完成的非常认真，风格各异，充分的发挥自己的优势。
其次，同学们就本章节的知识点以小组的形式展示创业小方案，学以致用，分享方案后同学们对各成员负责的部分进行点评，学会欣赏别人，取长补短，相互学习，共同进步！

경제학
이번 주 경제 수업에서는 세 가지 기본적인 경제 문제에 대해 배웠습니다: 무엇을 생산해야 할까요? 누구를 위해서요? 어떻게 그것을 생산하나요? 생산과 분업, 생산 주기 흐름도, 그리고 다른 품목의 유형도 공부했습니다. 학생들이 관련 지식 내용을 더 잘 숙지하도록 돕기 위해, 이번 주 숙제는 배운 지식 내용을 마인드 맵으로 그리는 것이었습니다. 각 학생의 마인드 맵은 매우 진지했고, 여러 가지 스타일을 가지고 있었으며 자신의 장점을 충분히 발휘된 작품이었습니다. 그리고 학생들은 본 단원의 지식 내용을 기반으로 하여 소그룹 형태의 소규모 창업 계획을 보여주었습니다. 계획을 공유한 후, 학생들은 각 구성원이 책임져야 하는 부분에 대해 코멘트를 했습니다. 우리는 다른 사람들에게 감사하고, 서로에게 배우고, 함께 발전하는 것을 배웠습니다!

BOARDING
Sunday, September 25th was the first of Boarding’s 7D Outings to Chimelong Safari Park. Boarding will hold a 7D Outing each month on a given weekend, and is open to Secondary students for Flexi-boarding and participation.
In September, we went to Chimelong Safari Park for a day with the animals. It was a really good day. It was not too hot, and we were able to see many animals in their natural habitat. Students really enjoyed the Safari Train and the Panda House!
We look forward to October’s 7D Outing to the new Science Museum in Guangzhou on Sunday, October 16th. More details and sign ups to follow!

寄宿学校
这个星期天（9月25日），是寄宿生们的首次 7D郊游，我们去了长隆野生动物园。寄宿学校每月会在指定的周末举办一次“7D郊游”活动，并向中学生们开放弹性寄宿和接受报名。
9月，我们去长隆野生动物园和动物们玩了一天，大家都玩得很开心！我们没有遇见酷暑，这让我们得以观察到动物们在其自然栖息地上的生活面貌。还有游猎火车和熊猫馆，学生们都非常喜欢!
接下来，让我们一起期待10月16日(周日) 十月“7D郊游” 的下一站——新广州科技博物馆。报名及更多其他的细节即将奉上!
寄宿生们，生日快乐！

9월 25일 일요일에 7일 기숙사생들은 창룽 동물원으로 그들의 첫 번째 외출을 나갔습니다. 저희 기숙사는 매월 지정된 주말에 7일 기숙사생들 위한 외출을 기획합니다. 중등학생은 유연한 기숙프로그램으로 참여할 수 있습니다.
9월에 우리는 창룽동물원에서 동물들과의 하루를 보냈습니다. 정말 좋은 하루였습니다. 날씨가 너무 덥지 않았고, 자연 서식지에서 많은 동물들을 볼 수 있었습니다. 학생들은 사파리 기차와 팬더 하우스를 정말 좋아했습니다.
10월 16일 일요일에 광저우에 새로 생긴 과학 박물관으로 가는 10월의 7D 나들이를 기대해주세요. 자세한 내용은 추후에 다시 안내드리겠습니다.
