Class of 2026 Offer Highlights
One offer from Imperial College London – ranked #2 in the world (QS 2026) 및 #1 in the UK for Aeronautical Engineering.
Another from 도호쿠 대학교 in Japan – an offer received by only four Japanese returnee students worldwide.
Add to that offers from King’s College London, the University of Edinburgh, and Sophia University…
Dai Hirose, a Japanese returnee student who joined UISG in Grade 8, has delivered an impressive application outcome for the 2026 admissions cycle, spanning top universities in both the UK and Japan. Four years of a complete IB education have witnessed his journey from budding potential to outstanding achievement.
A Cross‑Border List of Offers

Dai’s offers cover leading institutions in both the UK and Japan. Two of them stand out as particularly significant: one represents the pinnacle of global reputation in science and engineering; the other, with its exceptionally limited number of places worldwide, adds a uniquely personal touch to his story. In addition, he has received offers from King’s College London, the University of Edinburgh, and Sophia University in Japan. Recognition from five universities across two countries speaks volumes about the cross‑cultural competitiveness nurtured by our IB curriculum.
임페리얼 칼리지 런던
– The Apex of Global Reputation

Ranked #2 in the world and #1 in the UK by QS 2026, Imperial’s Aeronautical Engineering programme is also ranked #1 in the UK by The Guardian. Its graduate employability has been officially recognised with The Times “University of the Year for Graduate Employment” award. These figures together paint a picture of Imperial’s elite standing. For Dai to stand out from such a competitive pool is the strongest testament to his academic rigour.
도호쿠 대학교
– A Rare and Unrepeatable Distinction

Tohoku University is one of Japan’s prestigious “former imperial universities”, with an engineering faculty that ranks among the best in the country. Dai has been admitted to its International Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (IMAC) programme, which is taught entirely in English. He is one of only four Japanese returnee students worldwide to have received this offer. This acceptance is not just about meeting academic standards; it is about identity. As a returnee student, he has retained his Japanese roots while developing a global mindset through the IB system – precisely the “uniqueness” that UISG values.
A Four‑Year IB Foundation

Four years ago, Dai walked into UISG. Four years later, he is heading outinto the world with offers from Imperial College London and Tohoku University. The path in between was paved by the IB curriculum and walked step by step with our university counselling team. There were no shortcuts – only a mature system that has been running successfully for nearly30 years, and a school that has always looked after every single student.
Congratulations, Dai! May you continue to carry this spirit of exploration and cross‑cultural vision as you go further and higher in aerospace and mechanical engineering. UISG is proud of you.
