2026 DOT DAY (PYP)

DOT DAY CELEBRATION 2026

To celebrate International Dot Day, UISG PYP students explored how transparent colours, lines and shapes can transform spaces with light, movement and imagination. Inspired by The Dot, they discovered that every mark can become something meaningful.

Students experimented with continuous-line drawing inspired by Pablo Picasso, expressive colour and shape influenced by Henri Matisse, and geometric forms and lines in the spirit of Wassily Kandinsky. They layered translucent colours to create personal artworks and make their ideas visible.

Working together, students also created a collaborative installation inspired by Vashti’s wall of colour from The Dot. Each dot contributed to a larger composition, showing how individual ideas can connect and grow.

Through this celebration, students developed as risk-takers, creative thinkers, open-minded learners and reflective artists. Dot Day reminded our community that everyone has something valuable to contribute—and that even the smallest mark can create colour, connection and positive change.
