October 24, 2025: A Heartfelt Thank You & A Look Ahead
UISG 커뮤니티 여러분,
I wanted to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the fabulous ‘Ultimate Uni-Fair 2025-2026’ today. It was wonderful to have so many engaged UISG and UISZ families exploring future pathways with our university representatives; your presence made the event a tremendous success.
As we look ahead to a busy week, please note the following key events.
- Tuesday the 28th sees our U9 swimmers head to BSG for a GISES Swim Meet at 9:00 am.
- Our Middle School footballers will be competing in the GISSA Cup at NASGZ/Musheng on Wednesday the 29th.
- Thursday the 30th is a significant day with the StuCo President Elections and a vital parent session, “Thriving in the DP,” for our Grade 12 families at 10:00 am in the Admin Hall.
Finally, on Friday the 31st, we have our Character Day Dress-Up for all ages as we wrap up another fun-filled week!

尊敬的UISG大家庭：
首先，我想向所有参与今日精彩“2025-2026终极大学展”的各位表达最诚挚的谢意。很高兴能见证众多UISG和UISZ家庭与大学代表们共同探索未来升学路径，你们的参与让本次活动取得了圆满成功。
展望即将到来的充实一周，敬请关注以下重要活动：
- 10月28日周二，我校U9组游泳选手将于上午9点前往BSG参加GISES游泳锦标赛。
- 10月29日周三，中学部足球队员将前往NASGZ/木生场参加GISSA杯足球赛。
- 10月30日周四将是重要的一天：学生会主席选举将如期举行，同时当天上午10点将在行政礼堂为12年级家庭举办“如何在DP阶段茁壮成长”主题家长会。
最后在10月31日周五，我们将举办全龄段角色装扮日活动，为这个充满欢乐的一周画上圆满句号！

Dear UNC, EY and Primary Families,
What a fabulous community building week! From Parent Teacher Student Conferences to the amazing UN Day today. Outstanding performances, a wander around the world, and some very yummy food. We truly showed each other how to be Global Citizens.
Thank you to Jai, Amy and the UN Day committee for organising and putting everything together. For teachers, parents and students in organising performances, door decorations and lots of food for us to try.

October 27 – 31 (Week 10A)
Student Achievement
We have had the opportunity this week to recognise student achievement at two very different kind of events. On Monday we held a student scholarship event to formally congratulate those students who received scholarships. This included both returning and new students. And then on Thursday during our Secondary assembly we celebrated those students who have strongly demonstrated particular Learner Profile attributes. We also celebrated student athletes who have been competing over the last few weeks.

SISMUN
Students attending SISMUN had a very successful conference. There were 3 Awards collected at SISMUN. Students were selected by the chairs of each group. Categories included most diplomatic, passionate, and improved. Award recipients were: Eddy (most diplomatic), Owen (most passionate), Inah (most passionate). In addition, Phaeton, a first time Middle School MUN attendee, got an honorable mention, which is highly impressive indeed. Well done.
Student Council elections – President + Grade level representatives
We will have Student Council President elections next week. We have five Grade 11 students standing for President, and we look forward to their campaigning and their speeches. The following week, on November 6 we have the Grade level representative elections. We hope to see a large number of students put themselves forwards for this important role.
October 31 – Character Day – the Student Council and House Captains will be organising some Spirit events. Students are encouraged to dress up as a character of their choice, from Witches to Wizards to Famous Paintings to Superheroes to Celebrities – we can’t wait to see the creativity on dress-up day!
UN Day – a fantastic parade of nations, followed up by some amazine performances. See the UISG WeChat posts for the full information. Great to see many parents there – let’s keep that parent involvement for all our school events, as we work together as a community to help the school grow and thrive.

本周我们有幸在两个不同的活动中表彰学生的成就。周一，我们举办了一场学生奖学金颁发仪式，正式向获得奖学金的学生表示祝贺，其中包括返校生和新生。周四，在中学集会上，我们表彰了那些在学习过程中充分展现学习者特质的学生，同时也为过去几周参加比赛的学生运动员举行了庆祝活动。

在 SISMUN 会议上，学生们取得了非常出色的成果。此次会议共颁发了 3 个奖项。各小组主席选出了获奖者，奖项类别包括最富有外交风度、最热情洋溢和最大进步。获奖者分别是：Eddy（最富有外交风度）、Owen（最热情洋溢）、Inah（最热情洋溢）。此外，首次参加中学模拟联合国会议的Phaeton也获得了提名，这确实令人印象深刻。干得漂亮。

下周我们将举行学生会主席选举。有五位11年级学生竞选主席一职，我们期待他们的竞选活动和演讲。再下一周，也就是 11 月 6 日，我们将举行年级代表选举。我们希望看到有大量学生自荐担任这一重要职务。
10 月 31 日——角色日——学生会和各Houese队长将组织一些“精神”活动。鼓励同学们装扮成自己选择的任何角色，比如女巫、巫师、著名画作中的角色、超级英雄或者名人等等——我们迫不及待地想看到这一天的创意装扮啦！

Dear UNC Parents,
Thank you for your cooperation and support at the UN Day event. We look forward to learning and expanding more during the next UN Day. Here are the events for the next two weeks:
- On Friday, October 31, 2025, we will celebrate Character Day. We are encouraging children to wear any costume they like at school.
- On the morning of 10:30-11:00 on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, UNC classes will take group photos for the yearbook. Please have your children wear a green polo shirt uniform that day. For students in the UNC Nido class who do not have a uniform, you can have your child wear any other green shirt.
