November 21, 2025: Partnerships and Forward Progress
UISG 커뮤니티 여러분,
This has been a particularly fruitful week at UISG, filled with vibrant activities that showcased our students’ many talents and achievements. We celebrated our secondary performers in the talent show, demonstrated teamwork during primary sports day, and enjoyed meaningful parent engagement that strengthens our community partnership. Two of our UISG Mathlete Teams took 3rd place in the ACAMIS Math Olympiad in Hong Kong last weekend!
I want to express my sincere appreciation to all parents who attended the UPTA All Parents Meeting today. Your active participation strengthens our partnership and enhances our school community.
Next week brings more highlights including the Grade 9 theatre performances, and our Grade 12 students taking their graduation photos at the AIO. Our MS Touch Rugby team will compete at AISG on Saturday the 29th. We also look forward to welcoming prospective families at Saturday’s Fawn Green Education Exhibition.
As a reminder, UISG will be closed with no classes next Friday, November 28th, 2025.

尊敬的UISG大家庭：
本周是 UISG 硕果累累的一周，各项精彩纷呈的活动充分展现了我们学生的多方才华与成就。我们在才艺秀上为中学部的表演者喝彩，在小学部运动日见证了团队协作精神，并通过富有意义的家校互动进一步巩固了我们的社区伙伴关系。尤为可喜的是，上周末在香港举行的ACAMIS数学奥林匹克竞赛中，我们的两支数学代表队双双荣获第三名！
在此，谨向所有出席今日UPTA全体家长会的家长们致以诚挚的谢意。您的积极参与巩固了我们的合作关系，并让我们这个校园社区更加美好。
下周同样精彩纷呈：九年级的戏剧表演将如期举行，十二年级的学生们也将在AIO拍摄毕业照。此外，中学部触式橄榄球队将于29日（周六）前往AISG参赛。我们也期待在周六的Fawn Green教育展上欢迎未来的家庭加入我们。
温馨提示：UISG将于下周五，即2025年11月28日放假一天，当日所有课程暂停。

Dear UNC, EY and Primary Families,
November has been a very busy month with so many different events — and what a joyful month it was! We wrapped up our string of activities with three highlights:
- Primary Sports Day — energetic, fun, and full of sportsmanship.
- Extracurricular Activities (ECA) Fair — students exploring new interests and sharing their talents.
- Family Picnic — a chilly but cozy gathering where families connected with one another.
A heartfelt thank you to all parents who came. It was wonderful to see you involved, cheering on students, and joining in the fun—especially when parents and caregivers outdid the teachers in the tug-of-war!
Thank you for your continued support, enthusiasm, and partnership. Events like these are successful because of our community — your presence makes a real difference.

November 24 – 28 (Week 14A)
Talent Show
13 different acts. 7 styles of performance. 6 different Grade levels. 24 very talented performers.
What an enjoyable and impressive event. The hours of dedication and practice from all the performers kept the whole Secondary school entertained for 80 amazing minutes. Student performers proved themselves to be Risk-takers, Communicators and Balanced.
Grade 9 student leaders for Primary Sports Day
Our Grade 9 students had the opportunity for a truly authentic PE assessment, as well as some genuine Service in Action, when they led the activities for Primary Sports Day. The connections the Grade 9s were making with the younger students was really lovely to see, and it also gave them a chance to put their leadership skills into action.
Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) Fair
With the Season 1 ECAs coming to an end this week, students have the opportunity to sign up for Season 2s wide variety of activities. Whether building on a skill, or discovering a new passion, we strongly recommend students to sign up for these fantastic offerings for the second season. I ask parents to encourage their children to get involved.
ACAMIS Maths Olympiad
Our DP mathletes had a successful tournament in Hong Kong last weekend, with some team awards as well as some individual achievements amongst a very strong field of fellow mathematicians.

9年级学生在小学体育日的活动中担任领导角色
我们9年级学生有幸进行了真正全面的体育评估，并参与了切实有效的“服务行动”。在为小学体育日组织活动的过程中，他们为低年级学生提供了指导，这种与低年级学生建立的联系令人十分欣慰，同时也让他们有机会将自身的领导能力付诸实践。
课外活动展
随着本周第一季课外活动的结束，学生们现在可以报名参加第二季各种活动了。无论是巩固某项技能，还是发现新的兴趣爱好，我们都强烈建议学生们报名参加第二季这些精彩纷呈的活动。我恳请家长们鼓励孩子们积极参与。
ACAMIS数学奥林匹克竞赛
我们DP数学选手们上周末在香港举行的比赛中表现出色，不仅获得了团队奖项，个人方面也取得了不少成绩，他们在众多实力强劲的数学选手中脱颖而出。

Dear UNC Parents,
It was a pleasure to see so many of you at the parenting workshop this week. Thank you for taking the time to learn about and understand children with us. Below is part of the schedule for next week’s UNC classes:
- Our field trip about plant exploration has been rescheduled to next Thursday morning, November 27, 2025, where the children will have a picnic in the park.
- The second parenting seminar, “How to Observe Child,” will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.
Stay tuned for our January sharing of the following parenting topics: “How the Casa curriculum supports children’s mathematical development,” “How the Casa curriculum supports children’s English development,” and “How the Montessori environment supports children’s executive function development.
- UNC has received notification from the school leaders that, according to the academic calendar, November 28th (Friday) will be no school for students and faculty. As there will be no staff bus or catering services on that day, UNC will also give a day off. Please plan for childcare in advance. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you!
- Registration for the second session of UNC’s ECA course this academic year will open next week. For details on renewing your children’s course, please follow the information posted by your coach or ECA director, Ryan. New parents can contact Jill directly; I will share the relevant materials, registration methods and share with you.
