Subject: A Message of Gratitude and Best Wishes for the New Year
As we begin the new year of 2026, I feel hopeful and excited for the semester ahead. It has been wonderful to see everyone back on campus, full of energy for the second half of the year!
First, I want to thank the many families who came to our recent Town Hall meetings about the strategic transition of UISZ to UISG for next August. Your presence and questions were very helpful. We are working hard to make this transition smooth and successful for every stakeholder, and we are happy to have your support.
For those who could not attend, we will share regular and ongoing information, and our team is available to answer your questions if needed.
I am also pleased to share an exciting update. A key new addition to our UISG Campus is our state-of-the-art “Dragon House” boarding facility. It is nearly complete and will be an excellent new addition to our school community. If you would like to see some photos, we have a new boarding page on our UISG school website.
You can visit it here:
Finally, please save the date for Saturday, March 21. We will hold our annual UEF 패밀리 데이, a fun event for everyone. This year, the day will also include an Open House and ribbon cutting at the new boarding facility. It will be a great chance for all families to see the new building and connect with our community.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. I wish you a great start to 2026!

A Warm Welcome to Our New Students & Families!

This week began with a special on-campus orientation for our new students and their families. It was wonderful to welcome them to UISG, connect them with homeroom teachers, the UPTA and ensure they are all set for a successful start.
Our dedicated faculty also returned to campus on Monday for a day of professional growth and collaboration, which began with a festive breakfast celebrating our January birthdays.

All Students Return!
Tuesday saw all our students return to campus refreshed and ready to jump into an exciting semester of learning. It’s wonderful to have our campus full of energy again!

All Aboard for Adventure ! K3 Concludes Their Journey
Choo-choo! Our K3 explorers chugged right into the heart of their “How the World Works” unit with a fantastic field trip to the Transportation Museum !

The adventure began with a breezy tram ride, setting the mood for a day on the move. But the real magic happened at the Guangzhou Train Museum. Our young travelers became conductors for the day! They learned how to buy their own tickets, stepped into the driver’s seat for an exciting train simulation, and explored all the buttons, levers, and procedures that make a train zoom down the tracks.

It was a hands-on, minds-on journey full of discovery. What a perfect way to roll into the station and conclude our unit on transportation!

Hands-On G3 Math Explorers
How heavy is a book? How much space does a desk take up? Our Grade 3 mathematicians are finding out—by doing! Through hands-on exploration, they’re mastering mass, area, and perimeter by building, weighing, and measuring the world around them. This is math you can touch, see, and understand. Learning in action makes concepts stick!

Hyundai Motor Visit Fuels Learning on Sustainable Energy

Today, our Grade 10 students visited Hyundai Motor Group for an engaging field trip focused on the future of clean energy. The visit provided a first-hand look at Hyundai’s hydrogen technologies and their “H2 Economy” campaign, bringing to life classroom lessons in physics, chemistry, and environmental science. Students explored how hydrogen is produced, stored, and used in fuel-cell applications, gaining valuable insights into the real-world challenges and career pathways in sustainable engineering. A special thank you to Hyundai for hosting our group and to our teachers and Korean Liaison Manager for organizing this excellent example of authentic STEM learning.
