The second semester ignited with energy for UISG Athletics as our Wolves demonstrated outstanding skill, relentless drive, and true sportsmanship across a packed schedule. 

As we step into the final week before the Chinese New Year holiday, I want to wish you and your family a happy, healthy, and prosperous week focused on the Year of the Horse! Thank you to all the parents who joined us for the grand opening of the CNY Art Exhibition, Theatre Week, and all the various school activities around campus. It was wonderful to share these special moments with you. Your participation truly enriches our community, Wolf Spirit.

At UISG, our commitment to nurturing every student’s potential is at the heart of our mission. Nowhere is this more evident than in the dynamic evolution of our English as an Additional Language (EAL) program this year. With a strategic, data-informed, and collaborative approach, we are not just teaching English, we are empowering students to thrive across the entire curriculum, fostering remarkable gains in confidence and capability.

As the university admissions season unfolds, we are thrilled to announce the outstanding early offers received by our Grade 12 students across both Utahloy International School Guangzhou (UISG) and Utahloy International School Zengcheng (UISZ).

Following the wonderful success of Book Week, we launch straight into another dynamic week for the start of February. I want to thank everyone who joined us for the Book Character Dress Up Parade and the ACAMIS Basketball Tournament at UISG. 

Next week is packed with key events. Our Grade 10s will make important DP choices, and athletic, artistic, and academic events fill the schedule: MS Volleyball hosts ISA, a CNY Art Exhibit opens in the Admin Hall, Theatre Week begins with Grade 7’s “Comedy of Errors”, and the PYP CNY Performance on Thursday at 13:30 in the MFH.

Despite our short history, we are bursting with pride to announce that FOUR of our teams have already earned immediate qualification for the VEX Nationals in Shanghai this February 5-7!

UISG는 최근 중등부 학생, 교사, 초등학생, 학부모가 함께 모여 언어와 문화에 대한 인식을 공유하는 활기찬 국제 모국어의 날 기념행사를 하루 종일 개최했습니다. 이 행사는 다양한 커뮤니티와 학생 주도의 이니셔티브의 힘을 반영하는 즐겁고 의미 있는 행사였습니다.

배움과 즐거움으로 가득 찬 멋지고 바쁜 한 주를 앞두고 있습니다! 독서와 이야기, 상상력을 위한 특별한 시간인 연례 도서 주간이 시작됩니다. 다음 주 금요일 오전 8시 45분에 열리는 책 캐릭터 분장 퍼레이드와 같은 재미있는 활동에 동참해 주세요. 동시에, 이번 주에 중요한 모의고사를 치르는 DP와 MYP 학생들을 응원합니다. 모두 큰 성공을 기원합니다! 

저는 항상 모의유엔이 외교를 가르친다고 믿어왔습니다. 하지만 최근 자매 캠퍼스인 UISZ에서 주최한 U2NESCO 컨퍼런스에서 저는 깊은 공감과 함께 빠른 사고력을 키울 수 있다는 진정한 힘을 확인했습니다. 올해 컨퍼런스에서 학생들은 취약 국가를 위한 기후 정의, 교육에 대한 공평한 접근, 군축, 난민의 권리 등 복잡한 글로벌 이슈에 참여하도록 유도했습니다.

최근 호주-그리스 출신의 저명한 구어 시인 루카 레슨의 방문으로 촉발된 학생들의 강력하고 여과되지 않은 목소리, 즉 새로운 종류의 리듬이 광저우 유타홀리 국제학교(UISG)의 복도에 울려 퍼졌습니다. 이틀 동안 역동적인 시간을 보낸 레슨은 초청 연사의 역할을 넘어 멘토의 역할을 수행하며 다양한 언어 능력의 학생들과 친밀하게 소통하고 학교의 문학 문화에 지울 수 없는 흔적을 남겼습니다.
