Dear students,
We saw you be risk takers. Maybe you were scared to sleep away from home, or maybe you were scared to stand in the grass in the dark at the bonfire, or maybe you were scared to sing in front of people, but you did it. You showed courage.
Many of you showed open mindedness by sharing a room with someone you weren’t close friends with yet, and now you have a new friend. Or maybe you kept an open mind by trying something different like touching bugs, attempting a new game, speaking a new word, or tried a new food like eating pizza with potato and now you have a new interest. You were inquirers.
You also showed you will keep trying even when something is difficult or challenging, like catching a bug or frog, finding the answer to a question or a clue, kicking a hacky-sack, throwing or catching a frisbee or ball, rolling the dough or even just following instructions. You didn’t give up, you tried again and again and showed a growth mindset.
Many of you were helpful to others and showed you were caring and have compassion. You shared and you were generous.
Some of you showed patience by waiting for others and not needing to go first. You listened when someone needed to share or have a try. You were communicators.
You should all be proud and go forward knowing that anything is possible if you try. You inspire.
Sincerely proud,
Year 3 Camp Chaperones
