Today, UISZ campus hosted a critical “real-world rehearsal”—the DSE Grade 12 Mock Exam has officially begun! Designed to fully replicate the formal Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) examination, this mock test mirrors the actual exam in everything from venue setup and procedures to grading standards, providing students with an authentic test-taking experience to prepare them for future challenges.

Looking ahead, we have several important events: our basketball team plays again at QSID on Monday, and our Grade 12 students taking their graduation photos at the AIO on Tuesday – always a memorable moment. We will conduct our essential whole-school Fire Drill on Thursday morning to practice safety procedures with all our students and staff.
Recently, UISZ’s educational team visited sister schools Chiway Repton High School Xiamen and Lanrun Angel Foreign Language Experimental School for a series of productive teaching exchanges centered on the DSE curriculum. As a key part of these activities, Austin Zhang，Head of Secondary Schoool（HKDSE），also joined Xiamen Starlight-Lepton High School at an education fair, offering expert insights into the DSE curriculum for parents.
Our focus next week is on fostering a safe and inclusive environment through the launch of our annual Bullying Awareness Week which begins next Monday. This important initiative reinforces our core values of empathy, respect, and global citizenship. Through dedicated activities, we will empower our students to be open-minded individuals who appreciate and celebrate our diverse community.

An upcoming key focus is our Bullying Awareness Week which begins next Monday. Our students will engage in age-appropriate lessons and discussions to reinforce our shared commitment to a safe, respectful, and inclusive school culture. We encourage you to continue these important conversations at home. The week will be highlighted by a dedicated Assembly on Wednesday and our Spirit Day: Crazy Socks Day on Friday, a visible and united display of our community’s values. In athletics, we wish our High School Basketball Team success as they compete at TS on Thursday.
At 8:15 a.m., while UISZ is still wrapped in mist, our corridors echo with a cheerful French song. Singing “Bonjour, mes amis” and miming words like “soleil,” “arbre,” and “oiseau,” our PYP students participate in a three-minute “French Wake-Up Ritual”—a micro inquiry lesson designed by our PYP team.
