We’re excited to announce that Book Week has started at Utahloy International School Zengcheng! From April 24, 2023, we’ll be celebrating the joy of reading and literature with a variety of fun and engaging activities for students of all ages.

DEAR( Drop Everything and Read)

It is a simple but effective way to encourage students to read for pleasure. By setting aside a specific time each day or week for independent reading, students are given the opportunity to explore different types of literature and develop their reading skills in a low-pressure, enjoyable environment.
DEAR，即 “放下一切去阅读”，是一个简单而有效的方法，鼓励学生为快乐阅读。DEAR的理念是,通过每天或每周留出特定时间进行独立阅读，学生有机会探索不同类型的文学作品，并在一个低压力、愉快的环境中发展他们的阅读技能。
Buddy Reading Across

It is a fun activity where students can read with their friends, which can help to promote a love of reading and also help to build relationships between students.

Additionally, it helps to foster a love of reading and a sense of camaraderie among students.

Dress-up Day

On April 26, we’ll be holding a book-themed dress-up day, where students and staff can dress up as their favorite book characters.
This is a fun way to promote reading and to celebrate the joy of books.

Reading in Unusual Places photo competition

It is a contest that encourages people to take creative and interesting photos of themselves or others reading in places that are not typically associated with reading. The goal of the competition is to promote reading as an enjoyable and worthwhile activity, while also inspiring people to explore new and unconventional locations for reading.
