UISZ Event

As the year turns and the horse brings in spring, on the evening of February 6, 2026, the warmth of the Year of the Fire Horse (Bing Wu) grew stronger. Staff from Utahloy Education Foundation came together for a glittering and heartwarming Spring Festival celebration. Through song and dance, wishes for a warm year were shared. Colleagues sat side by side, welcoming the gentle hopes of the Lunar New Year. 

Thank you to all the families who joined us for our Chinese New Year celebrations this past week. It has been a wonderful week filled with lively performances from students and staff, and the warm presence of parents and community members gathering to welcome the Year of the Horse. We are deeply grateful for your participation and for the UISZ Spirit you bring.

Happy New Year! As we step into 2026 together, we embrace a pivotal new chapter for our school. In Chinese culture, the horse represents courage, loyalty, and achievement. May we all carry this spirit forward—galloping fearlessly toward our goals and reaching new heights together. Wishing every member of our UISZ family a joyful, prosperous, and fulfilling year ahead!

What happens when learner profile attributes come to life? This week, our PYP community at UISZ experienced the answer firsthand during our monthly House Assembly and family picnic, a beautiful fusion of recognition, play, and togetherness that embodied the very heart of the IB Primary Years Programme.

On the day of 10 Feb, 2026, as the Year of the Horse drew nearer and nearer, UISZ students gathered together at the MFH to join in a wonderful Chinese New Year celebration, an occasion suffused with an atmosphere of joy and blessings, which provided an audio-visual feast for the teachers and students participating. The proceedings began with a heartfelt and warmly received New Year’s speech by the Head of the School, Mr Dan Mullen, which expressed good wishes to all for the New Year and set a warm and joyful tone for the whole event.

The entire UISZ Primary School, from Kindergarten to Grade 5, embarked on an unforgettable expedition to the Heyuan Dinosaur Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of fossilized dinosaur eggs. This whole-school field trip was far more than a day out; it was a powerful embodiment of the IB Primary Years Programme in action.

This week has been particularly special, marked by the wonderful success of our student transition visit with our sister school, UISG. Seeing our students engage, collaborate, and build connections was incredibly rewarding, and it truly embodied the spirit of our global UIS Community. A heartfelt thank you to everyone—staff, students, and families—who supported and participated in making this exchange so meaningful and smooth. 

On the campus of Utahloy International School Zengcheng (UISZ), the air today is filled with focus and a fighting spirit. Our annual third mock examination for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) has officially kicked off!

Utahloy International School Zengcheng (UISZ) recently participated in the inaugural HKDSE Promotion Seminar and Education Exhibition in Mainland of China. Mr. Austin, Head of Secondary School (HKDSE), along with the HKDSE Academic Coordinator, joined educators from across the country in meaningful discussions on advancing HKDSE teaching methodologies.
