As the evening sun cast its golden glow over the UISZ campus, a grand celebration of growth, gratitude, and new beginnings officially unfolded. On this day, we witnessed graduates from both the IB DP and HK DSE programme complete one of life’s most significant transformations, surrounded by family, teachers, and dear friends.
当夕阳的余晖洒落在UISZ校园，一场关于成长、感恩与启程的盛典正式拉开帷幕。这一天，我们共同见证了IB DP与HK DSE两大课程体系的毕业生们，在家人、师长与挚友的见证下，完成了人生中最重要的一次蜕变。
Prologue: A Carefully Prepared Ceremony
序章：一场精心筹备的仪式
From the graduate banners displayed in the campus hall to the neatly arranged graduation booklet in the MFH; from the gleaming trophies to the graduation cake filled with heartfelt blessings — every detail carried the school’s deepest wishes for the graduates.
从校园大厅里摆放的毕业生海报，到礼堂里整齐摆放的典礼手册；从闪耀着光芒的奖杯，到写满祝福的毕业蛋糕——每一个细节都承载着学校对毕业生们最深切的祝福。
Parents arrived in formal attire and took their seats early; teachers adjusted the tassels on the students’ graduation gowns one last time. The air was filled with a mixture of anticipation and bittersweet farewell. This was not merely a graduation ceremony, but a gathering of family.

As Superintendent of both UIS schools, Dr. Dan delivered his most sincere message to the graduates. He reflected on the students’ journey at UISZ, recognizing their resilience and excellence in both the IB and DSE programme.
作为UIS两所学校的总校长，Dr. Dan向毕业生们送上了最真挚的寄语。他回顾了这一届学生在UISZ的点滴成长，肯定了他们在IB与DSE课程中展现出的坚韧与卓越。
“You are all Cobras — agile, resilient, and fearless. Whether you chose IB or DSE, each of you has worked hard in your own way and earned the glory of this moment. Once a Cobra, always a Cobra.”

Dr. Dan particularly noted that the Class of 2026 has experienced one of the most extraordinary periods in the school’s history: the merger of UISZ and UISG. Yet it was precisely these challenges that forged an even stronger spirit within the students.

Guest speaker Dr. Gladys Mutinda touched the hearts of all present with her warm yet powerful voice. A scholar who has remained on the front lines of education, she shared her own story of finding her rhythm in adversity and persevering through life’s most difficult moments.
特邀嘉宾Dr. Gladys Mutinda以她温暖而有力的声音，为毕业生们带来了一场触动心灵的演讲。作为一位一直在教育一线的学者，她分享了自己在逆境中寻找节奏、在艰难时刻坚持前行的故事。
“Over the years, we walked a tightrope. But in the end, we found our rhythm — not in the easy days, but in the hard ones.”

She spoke each student’s name aloud — Emily H., Sammi, Emily K., Lucky, Ann, Karina, Jerry, Anna, Oscar, Jin… Behind every name lay a unique story of teacher and student. She told them: your very existence is the gift this world needs.

Ms. Dorothy Wong, Chair of the UEF Board, drew from Chapter 8 of the Tao Te Ching — “The highest good is like water” — to offer the graduates a message rooted in Eastern wisdom.
UEF董事会主席Ms. Dorothy Wong以《道德经》第八章「上善若水」为引，为毕业生们送上了东方智慧的毕业寄语。
“The highest good is like water. Water benefits all things and does not compete. It stays in places that others despise, and therefore is close to the Tao.”
“上善若水。水善利万物而不争，处众人之所恶，故几于道。”
She mapped the qualities of water onto the graduates’ futures: finding firm ground in changing environments (dwelling in good places), maintaining depth of thought (having a heart like an abyss), treating others with benevolence (being kind in dealings), speaking with integrity (keeping one’s word), upholding fairness in leadership (governing well), demonstrating excellence in action (handling affairs with competence), and seizing the right moment amid change (moving at the right time).
她将「水」的品格与毕业生们的未来一一对应：在多变的环境中扎根立足（居善地），保持思想的深度（心善渊），以仁爱待人（与善仁），以诚信立言（言善信），在领导中秉持公正（政善治），在处事上展现卓越才干（事善能），并在变革潮流中洞察时机（动善时）。
“This ‘not competing’ is not mediocrity, but the highest form of self-cultivation — not blindly comparing oneself to others, but focusing on raising one’s own value and contributing to society.”

Moment of Glory: Honours and Coronation
荣光时刻：表彰与加冕
At the ceremony, DP Coordinator Ms. Alya and Head of Secondary (HK DSE) Mr. Austin presented awards to students who had distinguished themselves academically and holistically. Behind every trophy lay countless late nights of persistence and every moment of choosing not to give up.
典礼上，DP Coordinator Ms. Alya 与 Head of Secondary (HK DSE) Mr. Austin 为在学术与综合表现中脱颖而出的学生颁发了荣誉奖项。每一座奖杯背后，都是无数个深夜的坚持与每一次选择不放弃的勇气。
Subsequently, Ms. Dorothy Wong and Dr. Dan Mullen jointly presented the graduation certificates to the graduates. The moment the certificates reached their hands, years of dedicated study transformed into the sweetest fruit.
随后，Ms. Dorothy Wong 与 Dr. Dan Mullen 共同为毕业生们颁发了毕业证书。当证书递到手中的那一刻，多年的寒窗苦读化作了最甜美的果实。
Finale: To the Sky, To the Future
终章：向天空，向未来
Before the eyes of family and friends, the graduates tossed their mortarboards high into the air！

Each black cap carried memories of youth and boundless aspirations for the future. The camera froze this historic moment, as cheers and applause wove together into the most moving symphony ever heard on the UISZ campus.
那一顶顶黑色的帽子，承载着青春的记忆，也承载着对未来的无限憧憬。快门定格了这一历史性时刻，欢呼声与掌声交织成UISZ校园里最动人的乐章。

You are about to bid farewell to UISZ, but UISZ will never bid farewell to you.

No matter which corner of the world you journey to, remember: you will always be Cobras, and you will always be children of UISZ.
