On December 16, 2024, UISZ HKDSE students participated in an English Speaking Mock Exam organized in collaboration with Gertrude Simon Lutheran College in Hongkong. This mock exam offered a practical and insightful experience for the students, helping them to better prepare for the HKDSE oral exam.

Group Practice Sessions with HK Students

To simulate the real exam environment, UISZ students were divided into small groups, where they were paired with their Hong Kong counterparts for mock oral practice sessions. This collaboration allowed students to experience different accents, practice in a real conversational setting, and develop their confidence in speaking English. The groups were tasked with engaging in various topics, covering both general discussions and specific exam-related tasks. This approach ensured that students not only practiced but also received immediate peer-to-peer feedback.

After the mock exam, all students received individualized feedback from the examiners. This feedback focused on their strengths and highlighted areas for improvement, particularly in fluency, coherence, and vocabulary usage.
