A new student joined our class late in the semester. Initially, it was hard for her to make friends, especially in a class full of boys. Over time, she earned everyone’s respect and has integrated into our class, as well as making friends from different grades.

In some ways, all my lessons have an aspect of challenge or “failure.” No lesson goes perfectly smoothly, and as a teacher, I have to roll with the punches and embrace it as part of my profession. Learning this has helped me be more relaxed with my students and with my colleagues. While I still strive for perfection, mistakes and obstacles are inevitable.
从某种意义上说,我所有的教学都包含着挑战或“失败”的成分。没有哪堂课能完全顺利进行,作为教师,我必须随机应变,将这些视为职业的一部分。领悟到这一点后,我与学生和同事相处时都更加从容了。虽然我依然追求完美,但错误与障碍终究不可避免。

Get some good shoes! The school is big and you’ll be doing a lot of walking.
