Watching all teachers support students regardless of whether it’s their class or not. Students are supported as whole children by all teachers.

The school performance, “Flowing Through Our World,” was a time when student voice was on full display.

How long did it take a transfer student to go from “stranger” to “confident”? What happened?
你曾带过转学插班生——从“陌生”到“自信”花了多久？具体发生了什么？

A new student joined our class late in the semester. Initially, it was hard for her to make friends, especially in a class full of boys. Over time, she earned everyone’s respect and has integrated into our class, as well as making friends from different grades. 

即将学期末，我们班迎来了一位新同学。起初，她在班上很难交到朋友，尤其是在这个男生占多数的班级里。随着时间的推移，她赢得了大家的尊重，不仅融入了我们班级，还结交了不同年级的伙伴。

Which PD session did you immediately apply in class?

Classroom design. After a PD session on the effects of classroom design, I immediately made some changes that have made my classroom a more inviting and exciting place to be. 

教室设计。参加完关于教室设计影响的教师培训后，我立即进行了一些调整，使我的教室变得更具吸引力，也更令人兴奋。

Tell how a “failed lesson” was embraced & refined here.
描述一次“失败教案”在这里如何被包容、改进？

In some ways, all my lessons have an aspect of challenge or “failure.” No lesson goes perfectly smoothly, and as a teacher, I have to roll with the punches and embrace it as part of my profession. Learning this has helped me be more relaxed with my students and with my colleagues. While I still strive for perfection, mistakes and obstacles are inevitable. 

从某种意义上说，我所有的教学都包含着挑战或“失败”的成分。没有哪堂课能完全顺利进行，作为教师，我必须随机应变，将这些视为职业的一部分。领悟到这一点后，我与学生和同事相处时都更加从容了。虽然我依然追求完美，但错误与障碍终究不可避免。

One piece of advice for a new teacher joining us?
如果给“新老师”一句话建议，你会说什么？

Get some good shoes! The school is big and you’ll be doing a lot of walking.
买双好鞋吧！学校很大，你得走很多路。

What small joy makes you smile the moment you walk in?
哪件“小确幸”让你每天踏进校门就微笑？

I love seeing the forest next to the school bathed in sunlight. It always makes me feel positive and excited for the day ahead. 

我喜欢看学校旁边的森林沐浴在阳光中。这总让我对新的一天充满积极和兴奋。

Refining my units and improving on my work from this semester.
