On March 26, 2025, Utahloy International School Guangzhou (UISG) hosted its bustling ‘Life After High School’ Fair in the Multi-Function Hall, bringing together students from Y9 to Y12 across UISG and UISZ campuses.
As an IB World School committed to nurturing globally minded, lifelong learners, UISG designed this event to bridge classroom learning with real-world aspirations. Through panel discussions, industry booths, and university consultations, students explored how critical thinking and interdisciplinary skills cultivated in the IB program can translate into future academic and career success.

Panel Discussions
Insights into Resilience, AI, and Future Education
Three dynamic panel sessions delved into career challenges, technological shifts, and evolving academic landscapes, featuring experts from tech, education, finance, and higher education:
Panel Discussions

1. Harnessing the Power of Setbacks
Panelists reflected on how professional hurdles—from scientific experimentation to entrepreneurial risks—shape resilience. One guest highlighted, “Early setbacks often lay the groundwork for future decisions,” emphasizing the value of reflective learning.

2. Core Competencies in the AI Era
Amid automation, speakers underscored irreplaceable human skills: creativity, problem-solving, and cross-cultural collaboration. A tech expert noted, “The future belongs to those who master tools, not those replaced by them.”

3. The Future Landscape of Higher Education
University representatives discussed emerging interdisciplinary fields like data ethics and sustainable design, stressing adaptability. “Success lies not just in choosing a major, but in applying knowledge to real-world challenges,” shared an admissions officer.

Panel
Panel

“Life After High School”
