It has been a pleasure to welcome back our students to the Dragon House after the holiday. It is heartening to see everyone dive straight into their routines with enthusiasm, focus, and energy. The students have been busy, engaged, and working hard as they settle back into life in the boarding house.

非常高兴地欢迎我们的学生在假期后回到龙之家。看到大家以饱满的热情、专注的态度和充沛的精力投入到日常学习中，我感到非常欣慰。学生们忙碌、投入、努力地投入到寄宿生活中。

We began the term with a fantastic house meeting where we warmly welcomed two new boarders into our Dragon House family. During the meeting, we emphasized the importance of maintaining strong life skills such as room cleanliness, personal hygiene, physical well-being, and a good work ethic. We also encouraged students to take full advantage of the wonderful facilities and opportunities available to them—not just for their academic growth but to have fun as well! Additionally, we highlighted the importance of establishing a strong routine post-holiday and reminded them about the robust support network available, including their teachers in study labs, dedicated boarding mentors, the boarding counsellor, and their peers.

This week, we launched an exciting initiative, the Boys Gym Club, led by our new PHE teacher, Mr. Jaco. A group of determined students has been demonstrating incredible dedication and grit by waking up early to engage in high-intensity strength and endurance sessions. I was fortunate to join the session and can attest to the invigorating start it provides to the day!

Another highlight of the week was our special birthday celebration for students born in February. Our talented chef team provided a delicious feast that brought everyone together, fostering a strong sense of community. During the celebration, we also took the opportunity to recognize our Boarders of the Month for January and February.

In our Robotics ECA, a number of our boarding students have been collaborating on building their own VEX IQ Robot from scratch. This week, we celebrated a milestone as one team completed their “ClawBot” design and began testing its functionality. Next week, they will advance to coding the robot for specific tasks—a wonderful display of teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Our Year 12 DP and DSE students have been deeply committed to preparing for their mock exams. It has been inspiring to witness their hard work and resilience. The good news of conditional offers from prestigious universities has further fueled their motivation. We are confident that their perseverance will lead to continued success.

Finally, I am thrilled to share that our Senior Boys Basketball team, which includes many of our boarders, achieved an incredible victory last weekend, reclaiming the PRC Championship gold medal. This is a testament to their teamwork, dedication, and outstanding athletic ability. We are exceptionally proud of their achievement .
