I would like to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude to all UISZ families who attended our Parent-Teacher Conferences today. This was a true celebration of student progress, and the collaborative conversations between home and school are invaluable to our students’ success. It was a pleasure to meet you in person and discuss all the great things taking place at UISZ.

An upcoming key focus is our Bullying Awareness Week which begins next Monday. Our students will engage in age-appropriate lessons and discussions to reinforce our shared commitment to a safe, respectful, and inclusive school culture. We encourage you to continue these important conversations at home. The week will be highlighted by a dedicated Assembly on Wednesday and our Spirit Day: Crazy Socks Day on Friday, a visible and united display of our community’s values. In athletics, we wish our High School Basketball Team success as they compete at TS on Thursday.
下周一启动的 ”反欺凌意识周” 将是近期的重点活动。各年级的同学们将通过适龄课程与讨论，深化对创建安全、尊重、包容校园文化的理解。鼓励大家在家中延续这些重要对话。下周亮点包括周三专题集会及周五的”奇趣袜日”——通过充满趣味的集体展示着我们的社区价值观。体育方面，让我们预祝高中篮球队周四出征TS赛场所向披靡！
The safety of our students remains our highest priority. To that end, we will conduct our scheduled Bus Drills next Wednesday. These practiced procedures are essential for ensuring student safety during transportation.
学生安全始终是我们的首要关切。为此，我们将于下周三实施校车安全演练，这些常态化操练是守护交通途中安全的关键环节。
We also look forward to several community events, including a Boarding BBQ Birthday and our PYP Coffee Morning on Friday, which offers a welcome opportunity for our primary parents to connect.

ACAMIS EdTech Conference

This month, I had the privilege of representing UISZ at the ACAMIS EdTech Conference 2025–2026 in Shanghai. I presented our innovative Transdisciplinary Learning Program in Primary, a dynamic approach where technology isn’t just a tool, but a bridge between subjects. In our classrooms, students explore Units of Inquiry (UOI) while weaving together Writers’ Workshop, Math Workshop, digital creation, and authentic outdoor learning. It was a joy to share how UISZ is shaping future-ready learners—with heart and purpose.
本月，我有幸代表UISZ出席在上海举办的ACAMIS教育科技大会2025-2026。我重点推介了本校创新的跨学科小学课程体系——这种动态教学模式中，技术不仅是工具，更是学科间的桥梁。在课堂实践中，学生通过探究单元（UOI）的探索，将写作工坊、数学工坊、数字创作与真实的户外学习有机融合。能分享UISZ如何以热忱与使命塑造面向未来的学习者，实属荣幸。

This week, our Reading Buddies program brought older and younger students together in the most heartwarming way! Grade 8-10 students read aloud to their Grade 3 buddies, modeling fluency and expression—while Grade 3 learners asked thoughtful questions and shared their own favorite stories. These sessions aren’t just about literacy; they’re about empathy, leadership, and community. Watching our students support one another across grade levels is a beautiful reminder of the caring culture we nurture every day.

This week, the University of Hong Kong came to UISZ! Our students had the fantastic opportunity to engage with an HKU admissions officer during an exclusive seminar held right on our campus. Fresh from HKU’s own Information Day, the officer brought the excitement to us, allowing our students to connect with this world-renowned institution without having to travel to Hong Kong.
本周，香港大学的招生官亲临誉德莱增城校区，为我校学子带来了一场干货满满的专场讲座。刚刚落下帷幕的“港大资讯日”的热度，仿佛也被带到了UISZ的校园。这一次，我们的学子无需亲赴香港，便与这所享誉全球的顶尖学府进行了一场零距离的深度交流。
D12 University Guidance Session

D12 classroom was packed on Wednesday morning for a highly targeted guidance session designed for our D12 students. We were honoured to have Mr. Alex as our keynote speaker, providing an in-depth analysis of the JUPAS system and the Mainland University Admission Scheme for 2026 DSE candidates.

Looking back on the UISZ yearbook photo shooting, we successfully organized a comprehensive session for the entire school community. The activity aimed to capture the images of every member of our big family, preserving the collective memories of this academic year. The dedicated graduation photo session for our Grade 12 students was successfully completed. Dressed in academic regalia, the graduates took memorable photographs with their teachers and peers. These images not only celebrated the successful conclusion of their secondary education but also conveyed our heartfelt wishes for their future journeys.

Reflecting on the Parents’ Meeting for Grades D10 and D11, the event was successfully held on Friday, November 7th. It provided a valuable opportunity for constructive dialogue between parents and teachers, focusing on student development. We extend our gratitude to all parents who attended, highlighting the essential role of home-school collaboration in supporting students’ progress.

On Monday, Year 10-12 students attended a presentation by HKU. It was another great opportunity to hear more about the options students have available to them for their tertiary studies. Thanks to Ms Yeinfor organising this event.

It was great to have a chance to assemble as a whole school to get photos taken. Our photos days were full of lots of laughs and poses across the two days as a range of individual, class, year group, and other photos were taken. Thanks to Ms Cindy Wang for organising these photoshoots.
