The UISG College Counseling department kicked off the term with parental information sessions held in English/Chinese and Korean. The focus of the sessions were strategies and essential information regarding university applications due in the fall, such as Hong Kong, United States, and United Kingdom.
The Secondary School of UISG came alive with vibrant colours and artistic fervour as students, teachers, and staff joined hands to celebrate International Dot Day throughout September 11th to 15th. The school atrium, transformed into an art haven, showcased the boundless creativity and unity of our community.
Every year the Primary Art Department like to challenge students to consider the marks they can make in different ways for Dot Day, and this year we took on a new challenge, a Dot Day Sculpture! International Dot Day, is a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration, which began when teacher Terry Shay introduced his classroom to Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot on September 15, 2009.
The University Talk series kicked off this Wednesday with University of British Columbia’s representative visit to Utahloy International School Guangzhou.
