Great fun, lots of excitement and learning during Y4 Camp at Yifeng Base in Zengcheng. Students participated in a range of team building activities, making new friends, and learning how to communicate more effectively. Hiking and Eco-farming were the highlight for many. Others enjoyed the BBQ & the talent show.
On Tuesday the UISG Primary Choirs welcomed to campus their counterparts from the American International School Guangzhou (AISG) and Clifford International School (CIS) for the two-day ISMAG SingUp! Primary Choir Festival.
Year 3 had a great time on their camp from March 30-31. We traveled by bus for 2 hours to our hotel for our one night stay in Zhuhai. We arrived at the hotel just before noon and after checking into our rooms, we enjoyed a buffet style lunch.
In the Primary Assembly this week we celebrated International World Art Day by bringing art, music and dance forms together. World Art Day, is a celebration to promote the development, diffusion and enjoyment of art.
Prior to the end of March, Year 6 embarked on a trip to Kaiping for 4 days and 3 nights to explore the cultural diversity with a focus on ‘East meets West.’ Setting off early on Tuesday morning, spirits were high as we took just over 2-hours on the bus to our base at Cangdong.
The Year 5 students enjoyed a 4-day camp at Zhaoqing from 28 – 31 March. The first night was spent at Dinghu Park surrounded by beautiful mountains. On the first afternoon, the students enjoyed exploring Xinghu Lake Wetland Park where they observed various bird species, learnt about karst mountains and walked through Qixing Cave.

This week K1 classes went on their first field trip! It was the first time participating in an out of school experience for most of the Wolf Cubs and they were so excited.
Year 3 went on a top-secret field trip to see how a factory makes ceramic tiles. Ceramic tiles are all around us. We use them for countertops, floors and walls. We learned ceramic tiles can make a place look neat, beautiful or even glamorous.
