We are now 5 school days away from our much-awaited Winter break.
We want to thank all our students-artists and their teachers for their involvement during last Thursday’s Festival of Arts, under the theme Tapestry of Creativity.
We want to start by thanking all parents who participated in the first celebration of the International Day of the Child, held last Monday. Parents had the opportunity to see their children in action at school and also took advice from our expert in education: our teachers.
We want to start this summary by thanking all parents, students, and employees who discussed about our school’s strategic plan. It is together that we will forge our community’s future and we were overwhelmingly pleased to witness such engagement from all!
We would like to start this community summary by expressing our most sincere congratulations to our High School Girls Volleyball team who secured third place last weekend in Tianjin at the ACAMIS tournament. Our girls demonstrated the determination and grit that are necessary to reach higher skies.
Our beloved Boarding House has once again seen its most popular night of the year last Tuesday as our annual Spooky Trick or Treating evening took place. Many thanks to our extraordinary Boarding team for the organization and to our Year 12 for the coordination of the “Nightmare Hall” and the pinata! Special credit to these DSE and IB students for their joint collaboration!
UISZ campus had a rather quiet and calm week this week as most of its students were active and away in their respective trips in Hong Kong, Yangshuo, Qingyuan and Beijing. We also had our IBDP Year 12 students analyzing water in a nearby pond for their IB Group 4 (Sciences) project and our little ones in K-Y2 going on a field trip!!!
We spent the week preparing our students for the Week Without Walls that will take place next week in virtually all four corners of Eastern China! We expect to be a wonderful experience for our students in Beijing, Yangshuo and Hong Kong, and we are already contemplating other destinations for 2024-2025.
We had a very smooth landing after the holiday with students and teachers happy to see each other again for the last stretch of this first term. You must all be aware that the end of this term is fast approaching and that Parent-Teachers Conference are around the corner
Our school year has now passed its first “checkpoint” with the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Holiday being now at our doors. While we wish each and every one to have a restful and exciting holiday, we also want to congratulate all stakeholders for this fantastic and promising beginning of the year.
