Dear UISG Community,

As we begin this new academic year, I am filled with pride reflecting on UISG’s remarkable legacy as Guangzhou’s first IB World School. For over 28 years, our community has set the standard for international education in Guangzhou, and I am honored to continue this journey with you as your Head of School.

What makes UISG truly special is the powerful combination of our rigorous IB Program and our vibrant, caring community. Walking through our campus, I see this every day – in classrooms where passionate teachers nurture curiosity, on playing fields where students build teamwork and resilience, and in collaborative projects that connect learning to real-world challenges. Our holistic and inquiry mindset perfectly embodies this spirit, empowering students to apply their knowledge to develop as global citizens, preparing them for an unknown future.

Next year, I will continue as Head of School at UISG, while building stronger connections and synergy between UISG and UISZ in my role as Superintendent of Utahloy International Schools. We will build on our strengths while introducing exciting enhancements to our academic and co-curricular programs. Most importantly, we remain committed to maintaining the warm, inclusive community that has always been at UISG’s heart – a place where every student is known, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.
