Saturday, 11th October, saw a group of UISG swimmers head down to AISG for their annual Invitational Swim Meet. This is a competitive gala for the Guangzhou schools. School holidays and clashes with other sports competitions meant that we attended with a few regular swimmers missing from the squad, but those who attended did not disappoint.
Our K3 students recently hosted a heartwarming event titled “Family and Friendship Day” to showcase their unit on how relationships impact our well-being. The day was filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful interactions between children and their parents.
What an incredible four days of competition, spirit, and sportsmanship! From October 16-18, the UISG campus was buzzing with energy as we hosted the ACAMIS Yellow Division Volleyball Championship.
Yesterday, our scholarship recipients and their families gathered for an inspiring afternoon at the beautiful Golden Lake Clubhouse to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students at the annual UISG Scholarship Awards Ceremony.
UISG Grade 3 students visited the Nissan factory on an educational trip. Guided by professionals, they explored key sections and witnessed the entire process of building a car—from parts to a finished vehicle.

The week culminates in a major highlight: our annual UISG Uni Fair next Friday, the 24th, where we are proud to host nearly 100 universities from over 15 countries around the world. In October, following the National Day holiday in 2025, teachers from UIS Guangzhou and Zengcheng campuses came together for enriching Professional Development (PD) Days. While students had not yet returned to school, the campus was already buzzing with intellectual energy and a shared passion for learning.
This Tuesday, October 14th, was a significant day for the Utahloy International School community. We had the distinct honour of welcoming the Director of Admissions, Mr Alan Phua, and the Senior Assistant Director, Ms Ong Hue Sin, from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, who delivered information sessions at both our Zengcheng (UISZ) and Guangzhou (UISG) campuses. In the world of university admissions, where students often travel far and wide to meet with representatives, it is a special privilege when a top-tier institution like NTU brings the opportunity directly to our students.
