Cyanotype is an old photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print, demonstrating boundless artistic possibilities. Mr. Wil Kopernikus, a German artist, was invited for a sharing and to teach Y3-Y6 summer school students to create their own cyanotype prints. During the workshop, Mr. Wil taught the children the basic skill and knowledge of cyanotype and guided them through the process to print.
Under the Week 2 theme ‘Explore Culture’, students and staff have had lots of engaging learning happening inside and outside of the classrooms. They have enjoyed learning different countries, celebrations and traditions as well as discovering the differences and similarities among cultures.

Belgium’s most popular cartoon characters, The Smurfs, made a surprise visit to UISG today ! Along with representatives from the Belgian Consulate, students were delighted by a cultural exchange, learning all about the European country’s traditions.
29th of April 2023. It was a memorable day for our UISG Primary students who participated in the Regional Finals of the Spelling Bee of China (SPBCN) Team competition.
A special congratulations to our excellent students who did a great job in the SPBCN City Final Competition. Out of over 60 students from around Guangzhou, UISG’s Evelyn (Y7) came out on top as the champion of the entire competition in the middle school category! Bokai (Y6) and Evie (Y1) both finished with 3rd place trophies for their age groups.
