Students became curious explorers of their chosen countries. They dug into traditions, landscapes, food, and stories—then turned their learning into incredible door displays. Each classroom door became a little window into another culture. Walking down the corridor felt like a mini world tour, built entirely by student inquiry and pride.

Then came the food. UISG families brought the international buffet to life with a potluck spread that smelled like home—many homes. Samosas, sushi, pasta, pastries, and everything in between. Families shared dishes, swapped stories, and tried something new. It wasn’t just lunch. It was community on a plate.

Secondary students set up food and cultural booths featuring BBQ, ramen, Mexican-Korean fusion snacks, Tang Hu Lu, boba, Dalgona, and more. An assortment of cultures was represented, such as Filipino, Indonesian, Chinese, and Korean. These student-led spaces supported agency, cultural representation, and experiential peer learning.

The Parade of Nations was the heartbeat of the day. More than forty countries were represented, and as flags filled the grounds, cheers rolled through the crowd. Seeing so many nationalities celebrated side by side was a powerful reminder of what UN Day is really about: unity in diversity.

The celebration closed with beautiful performances—music, dance, and words that brought the theme to life and left everyone with a little more hope and a lot more pride.

That’s why UN Day is so awaited at UISG. It’s not just an event. It’s a day to learn, share, taste, cheer, and remember that we are one community—curious about the world and stronger together.
