This week has been unusually quiet on campus, as secondary students are away on their annual Week Without Walls (WWW). While we have missed their energy, we know they are building resilience and friendships outdoors.
On March 26th and 27th, the enchanting world of Dr. Seuss came alive on the UISG stage as students from grades 1 to 6 delivered a spectacular performance of Seussical Junior. Some students find their path early. For Nicolas, that path began in K2 at UISG—and this fall, a new chapter awaits. After fourteen years within our community, Nicolas has earned offers from some of the world’s most respected universities. His story is one of consistency, curiosity, and quiet determination.
On March 14 and 15, 2026, over 170 young musicians from international schools across the region gathered in Panyu, Guangzhou, for the ACAMIS Honor Band Music Conference—a celebration of musical excellence, collaboration, and the universal language of music. UISG students took part in the event, not only as dedicated ensemble members but also as featured performers who brought a different kind of energy to the stage.
Looking back, Unfolding—the IB Diploma Programme Visual Arts Exhibition—brought a season of creativity to life within the ULC building. This exhibition showcased the culminating work of our DP Visual Arts students, whose projects explored identity, perception, emotion, and personal growth through a wide range of media. We are deeply grateful to the greater Guangzhou community for visiting during UEF Family Day and for sharing in the spirit of these young artists.

UTAHLOY The 2026 UEF Family Day has concluded successfully, bringing together the UISG and UISZ communities in a vibrant celebration of unity and belonging. The day began with the grand opening of our brand-new boarding house—a milestone marking UEF’s continued commitment to holistic education. Ms. Dorothy, Board Director and Chair of the UEF Board, was joined by UIS Superintendent Dr. Dan, Head of Boarding Mostafa, IB student representative Bosco, and DSE student representative Chole to officially inaugurate this state-of-the-art facility. Parents and students then had the opportunity to explore the thoughtfully designed living spaces, envisioning the growth and independence this home-away-from-home will foster.
