亲爱的家长、学生和朋友们，
The second week of the year has now come to an end with an increased dive into inquiry, investigation, and learning. Our students are slowly but surely getting their rhythm and should attain cruise speed very shortly. It is also a pleasure to see our new students adapting quickly to their new environment and we want to thank our returning students for being so welcoming.
本学年的第二周已经结束了，学生们开始更深入地探索、研究和学习。我们的学生正在慢慢地但肯定地获得他们的节奏，应该很快达到巡航速度。我们也很高兴看到新生们能够迅速地适应新环境，同时，我们要感谢返校生们向他们的新同学所展示出的热情欢迎。
We have a series of events coming up, and to start the year, our annual UPAZ Bbq is right around the corner, more precisely on Friday, September 2nd. The day will be complemented by a Sports Day, a UPAZ meeting, and classroom visits. The day will go as follows:

Students in PYP are off to a great start!
K1 & K2’s are working on hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, while K3 & Y1 are learning their sight words. Teachers have begun assessing student reading levels in Y1-5 so that students can begin their adventure’s through story!
小学部的学生们迎来了一个很棒的学年开端！

In the second week of the school year, all teachers are busy with planning and sharing their passion for teaching and learning. DP year one students are settled down with their subject choices and start to have a deeper understanding of the core subjects with teachers’ guidance. DP year two students are busy with the essential Extend Essay(EE) writing. It’s important that they can submit the EE on time so that they will be ready for the upcoming intensive subject internal assessments (IA). They are also working on the Theory of Knowledge(TOK) exhibition which will show to everyone in the community next Thursday and Friday. The IA calendar has been shared with all DP students this week, which will help them to build up a clear timeline for the whole year.
新学年第二周，老师们在忙着年度规划，挥洒满腔的教学热情。在老师的指导下， DP一年级同学们确定了学科选择，并开始对核心科目有了更进一步的了解。DP二年级同学们忙于重要的拓展论文(EE)写作。对他们而言，及时提交EE非常重要，接下来才能为紧张的内部评估(IA)做足准备。与此同时，他们还在筹备“知识论”(TOK)展览，并在下个周四和周五向学校的公众展示。本周，IA日历已发送给所有DP学生，这将有助于他们建立一个清晰的全年性规划。
