As we wrap up the semester, we want to highlight the incredible events that marked the last week at UISZ. It was a week filled with excitement and celebration as we approach the holiday season.
The week kicked off with a fantastic jam session at AIO with our talented Year 6, 7, and 8 students showcasing their musical prowess. The energy and creativity on display were truly inspiring, and it was a joy to see our students express themselves through music once again, and to see them develop their collaborative skills.
We also concluded the summative exams and culminating activities across all year levels, and report cards were issued on Friday. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication our students have shown throughout the semester.
On Thursday, our secondary students enjoyed a day out, creating lasting memories and strengthening friendships outside the classroom.
Finally, the week culminated in our whole-school Sports Day on Friday, where our students demonstrated sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination. It was a day filled with spirited competition and camaraderie. We want to thank all parents for joining us on that day.
As we head into the holiday season, we want to wish everyone a happy and joyful break. May it be a time of rest, relaxation, and memorable experiences.
这学期即将结束了，但我们仍想特别地数算一下在假期开始前的这兴奋和充满欢乐的一周里，我校所进行过的各种精彩至极的活动。
本周的第一场活动是在东方荟萃艺术学院举行的精彩的即兴演奏表演，我们才华横溢的六、七、八年级的同学们将自己的音乐才华展现得淋漓尽致。生命力和创造力在他们身上迸发，他们的表演让听众深受鼓舞。看到同学们再次地通过音乐表达自我，在这个过程中，他们的合作能力也获得了训练的机会，我们由衷地为他们感到欣喜。
我们还完成了各年级的总结性测评和各种让人兴奋不已的活动，并于周五发出了成绩单。我们为同学们在整个学期中所表现出的努力和奉献精神感到无比自豪。
周四，中学部的同学们度过了愉快的一天，在课堂之外一起编织下恒久不忘的回忆，增进了彼此之间的友谊。
最后，周五的校运会将本周的活动推向了高潮，同学们在运动会上一展体育精神、团队合作的能力和决心。让这一天既充满了激烈的竞争，又洋溢着温暖的友谊。 在此感谢家长们的参与。
한 학기를 마무리하면서 지난 한 주 동안 UISZ에서 있었던 놀라운 이벤트들을 소개해드리고자 합니다. 연말연시가 다가오면서 흥분과 축하로 가득 찬 한 주였습니다.
이번 주는 재능 있는 6, 7, 8학년 학생들이 AIO에서 자신들의 음악적 기량을 뽐내는 환상적인 잼 세션으로 시작되었습니다. 학생들의 에너지와 창의력은 정말 감동적이었고, 학생들이 다시 한 번 음악을 통해 자신을 표현하고 협업 기술을 발전시키는 것을 볼 수 있어서 기뻤습니다.
또한 모든 학년의 기말고사와 마무리 활동도 마무리되어 금요일에 성적표가 발급되었습니다. 학생들이 한 학기 동안 보여준 노력과 헌신이 매우 자랑스럽습니다.
목요일에는 중고등부 학생들이 교실 밖에서 즐거운 하루를 보내며 오래도록 기억에 남을 추억을 쌓고 우정을 다졌습니다.
마지막으로 금요일에는 학생들이 스포츠맨십, 팀워크, 결단력을 보여준 전교생 스포츠 데이로 한 주를 마무리했습니다. 선의의 경쟁과 동료애로 가득 찬 하루였습니다. 이날 함께 해주신 모든 학부모님께 감사드립니다.
본격적인 연말 시즌을 맞이하여 모두가 행복하고 즐거운 휴가를 보내시길 기원합니다. 휴식과 여유, 그리고 잊지 못할 추억을 쌓는 시간이 되길 바랍니다.

People share their opinion all the time: in their daily life, at home, at school, at work.

While we all share our opinions, some people are better at convincing others to change their minds. Some people have learned to be more persuasive than others.
In this Writer’s Workshop Unit, students of Year 4 and 5 at Utahloy International School Zengcheng (UISZ) learned how to become more convincing writers. They explored how to plan, draft and edit a persuasive speech. They then delivered that speech, aided by a simple, but effective presentation. Through persuasive writing we can share our opinion. When we structure our text clearly and build logical connections between reasons and supporting details, we can become more convincing.

The Festival of Arts and Art Education in MYP provided students with a wonderful opportunity to explore and express their creativity through a variety of artistic mediums. During the art exhibition, students showcased their incredible 3D works made with colored clay, as well as impressive 2D paper artworks. Some students even took artistic risks and used acrylic medium on canvas, collaborating with others on their masterpieces. The exhibition also featured beautiful tapestries that displayed the students’ skill and received numerous compliments.
Art is a visual language that can convey multiple meanings, and this exhibition demonstrated the combination of formal elements and conceptualization with personal and social concepts. Students showed their ability to organize and prioritize tasks, ensuring that everything ran smoothly during the festival. They designed posters and planned engaging art activities, showcasing their logical thinking and creating a cohesive experience for visitors. Through these activities, students had the opportunity to develop their logical thinking and prioritization skills, which are valuable in various aspects of life.
Furthermore, the students recognized the practical use and purpose of art. This event served as a valuable learning experience for MYP students, allowing them to showcase their learner profiles, such as being open-minded and creative thinkers. They also developed important ATL skills such as self-management, material management, and organizing for the festival. In addition to the traditional art forms, some students even practiced tattoo art using Heena, showcasing their creativity on their own bodies. The inclusion of spatula art and the planning of multi-coloured artwork added excitement to the creative process. Throughout their artistic journey, students experienced a mix of feelings, creative expression, dilemmas, and excitement.

It is the last academic week of this year. DP Year 11 students have recently completed their summative assessments and glad to see their results. This reflects their efforts and perseverance in each subjects. DP Year 12 physics and mathematics students are continually engaged with their internal assessments as well as their extended essay (physics) as the deadline is fast approaching. Let us support and motivate them ahead of next academic semester as they spend this winter break with parents and siblings . Wish you all a wonderful holidays.

All students have successfully completed their summative assessments for this week. The students demonstrated dedication and commitment to their studies, and we are confident that their hard work will reflect positively in their academic progress.
We are thrilled to announce that six of our students participated in the Joint School English Speech Competition held recently. I am proud to share that they have achieved remarkable success by securing the 2nd awards in this prestigious competition. This accomplishment is a testament to their exceptional communication skills, confidence, and the quality of education they receive at our school.
Their outstanding performance reflects not only their individual efforts but also the dedication of our teachers in nurturing and guiding them. We commend them for their achievements and for representing our school with distinction.
