I would like to begin this summary by thanking everyone for a very successful Festival of the Arts and Chinese New Year celebrations. The quality of the performances, whether on stage, on canvas, on the screen and on the tables (design) matched the high level of participation and positive ambience of the participants (parents, students, teachers, and staff). Thank you all for a very event.
在本周总结的开头，我想首先感谢大家成就了这场圆满成功的艺术节和中国新年庆祝活动。无论是舞台上、画布上、屏幕上还是桌子上（设计）的表演，其质量都与大家（家长、学生、教师和工作人员）的高度参与和积极氛围相匹配。再次感谢大家！
저는 이번주 주간 뉴스를 성공적인 예술 축제와 중국 새해 축하 행사에 대해 모두에게 감사하는 것으로 시작하고 싶습니다. 무대 위, 캔버스 위, 스크린 위, 테이블 위(디자인) 등 공연의 질은 모든 참가자 (학부모, 학생, 교사, 스탭)의 높은 참여 수준과 긍정적인 분위기를 그대로 보여주었습니다. 모든 분들께 감사드립니다.

Information sessions: there will be information sessions on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Please note that attendance of students at school during these hours is mandatory. All year 3-11 students (except boarders) will take their buses at 5:00 pm

Students took pleasure in exploring the sources of creativity outside of the studio and producing art outside of the typical art classes. The MYP grade 9, students ventured outside to collect some textures and patterns for the project. For the purpose of exploring creative concepts, students adored using the frottage technique. Their interpretation of the art elements was expressed in their portfolios as a result of their connection to the purposes and functions of the art elements.
平时，同学们喜欢探索课室以外的灵感，并在典型的艺术课堂外进行艺术创作。这周，MYP九年级的同学们为自己的项目去到课室外探索，并带回了一些纹理和图案。为了探索创造性的概念，他们热衷于运用拓绘手法。而他们的作品集展现了对艺术元素的见解，这正正是他们对于艺术元素的目的及功能的认知的结果。

DP Year 11 students have been making milestones in our Economics course this semester. With the SL students, we have completed two full units, the recent completion being Microeconomics. Students have also been learning how to write stellar Internal Assessment commentaries based on news articles that tackle various real-world issues in microeconomics. They are enjoying the course and learning at the same time, and I love to see it.

DP Year 12s have been in a mock season past two weeks, they have been working hard in reviewing content learned. After the mocks we will finish off the last part of the syllabus and start consistent revision as we prepare for the final examination in May.

HKDSE Chemistry students are developing an understanding of the classification system of organic compounds. We focus our studies on the application of IUPAC rules of nomenclature and the identification of important functional groups and their reactions. We will explore alkanes, alkenes, alcohols, halogenoalkanes, and polymers. Students could understand this material world better after studying this topic.
