안녕하세요!!!
We are just a few days away from the end of this very successful school year. Next week is marked with several events, and perhaps most importantly, our very popular International Day. We invite all parents to celebrate our school’s rich diversity. It is also the first event organized by our Year 10, who are now officially Diploma Programme’s students!! We want to thank in advance our Class of 2025 DP students for all their dedication for making it a success.
再过几天，这个圆满成功的学期就要画上句号了。下周有几场活动，当中最重要的可能就是我们深受喜爱的“国际日”了。在此，我们邀请所有家长们前来，一同为我们学校的”多样性而欢呼。这也是我们10年级同学们献上的第一场活动，他们现在正式成为DP学生了!! 在此，我们要提前感谢2025届DP学生们，感谢他们为本次活动能成功举办所做的一切。
성공적이었던 이번 학년도 종강이 며칠 남지 않았습니다. 다음 주에는 여러 가지 행사가 예정되어 있으며, 가장 중요한 것은 아마도 가장 인기있는 인터내셔널 데이일 것입니다. 우리 학교의 풍부한 다양성을 축하하기 위해 모든 학부모님들을 초대합니다. 또한 이제 공식적으로 디플로마 프로그램 학생이 된 10학년 학생들이 주최하는 첫 번째 행사입니다!!! 성공적인 행사를 위해 헌신해준 2025년 DP반 학생들에게 미리 감사의 인사를 전합니다.
Learning continues!
The end of the summative exams does not necessarily mean the end of learning. Next week, our students will engage in regular classwork and reflective work to summarize their experience, and take stock of their own strengths, and areas they should focus. Our teachers will guide them over this whole process.

Please note that our Extracurricular Activities Programme has paused for the rest of the year last Thursday. Consequently, all buses will depart school at 3:45 pm Monday to Thursday, and at 12:00 pm Friday. We want to thank all of those who participated to this additional offer from the school, and we are working hard to improve our offer for next year. We are indeed looking for external provider as well as offering academic experience to our students.

Online Counselling:
We are pleased to inform that all secondary students were introduced to Ms Lucy Lau, our Whole School Counselor during their house period last Wednesday. This is a kind reminder that students can meet the counselor online from Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 11:00 am. This service is available until June 16. Ms Lindsey Walsh will be our new onsite Counselor from the beginning of the school year 2023.

KG Assembly: Sharing the Planet
In our UOI Sharing the Planet, our early learners have been studying about the living things on planet Earth and how we can take care of our environment. To showcase their learning, they led the primary assembly program in collaboration with their Chinese teachers, some students, and their parents. In the program, there were dances, dramas, games, and surprises. The props they used in the show were their own artwork out of recyclable materials. They also shared their message about how to share the planet well and how to turn trash into art through a video.

이번 탐구 단원 : 같이 쓰는 지구에서 유아 학습자들은 지구에 살고 있는 생물과 환경을 보호하는 방법에 대해 공부했습니다. 학습한 내용을 보여주기 위해 중국인 선생님, 학생들, 학부모님들과 함께 초등 어셈블리 프로그램을 진행했습니다. 이 행사에서는 춤, 드라마, 게임, 깜짝 이벤트가 있었습니다. 학생들이 공연에 사용한 소품은 재활용 가능한 재료로 직접 만든 작품이었습니다. 또한 지구를 잘 공유하는 방법과 쓰레기를 예술 작품으로 바꾸는 방법에 대한 메시지를 영상을 통해 공유했습니다.

In French Language Acquisition, after having completed their final Writing summative assessment in late May, students have been revising some vocabulary through various fun activities like Kahoot, contemporary French music listening, Doodle game about clothing… In the meantime, our Year 10 students have been preparing tirelessly for the upcoming International Day which we are all looking forward.
在法语习得课上，同学们在五月下旬完成了最后的写作总结性评估后，通过各种有趣的活动，如Kahoot、当代法国音乐聆听、服装涂鸦游戏等，复习了一些词汇，与此同时，我们十年级的同学们也在为即将到来的国际日做着不懈的准备。
프랑스어 습득 과목에서는 5월 말에 마지막 작문 시험을 마친 후, 학생들은 카훗, 현대 프랑스 음악 듣기, 옷에 관한 낙서 게임과 같은 다양하고 재미있는 활동을 통해 어휘를 복습하고 있습니다… 그 동안 10학년 학생들은 우리 모두가 기대하고 있는 인터내셔널 데이를 위해 열심히 준비하고 있습니다.
Students have also worked on a poster showcasing what they have learnt throughout the year. Year 6/7 described their favorite celebrity (Elon Musk, M’Bappé, Dwayne Jonhson…) while Year 8/9 designed a fantasy family tree. Through this activity, students were able to recall the main topics covered this year (how to introduce someone in French, physical description, professions, family…). The students’ works were then displayed on the classroom walls during Year 5 Transition Days. Year 5 students visited our French classroom and were able to discover what they would be learning next year if they choose French Language Acquisition.

Mathematics
In the previous week, the DP students were learning how to write a Mathematics Internal Assessment (IA). This process equips students with essential skills in problem formulation, mathematical application, critical thinking, and effective communication. Through the IA process, students will gain the ability to independently select and formulate mathematical problems, applying concepts and techniques to real-world scenarios. They will refine their analytical and critical thinking abilities while exploring different approaches to problem-solving. Additionally, students were able to develop strong communication skills, effectively conveying complex mathematical ideas and arguments through clear and coherent writing. These outcomes foster independence, deeper understanding of mathematics, and transferable skills that support success in higher education and beyond.
