Family Bonding Through Arts (25 March, 1 & 4 April 2023)
Last Friday we had the pleasure of hosting the Read Write Inc (RWI) Part 1 workshop for parents in the Hub. Ms Dilek, the RWI reading leader, shared what phonics is and explained how RWI works at UISG.
At UISG we have a Play-based Early Years program. Children engage in Big Body Play which include actions like rolling, chasing, spinning, jumping, and swinging. These body movements happen individually, with friends or groups, and in structured activities like outdoor learning and physical education classes.
Utahloy International School Guangzhou celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) 2023 on 8th March with UDB students leading the way to remind the community about the significance of equity in education and all aspects of life.
On Wednesday, Year 6 went on a field trip on the year to the Guangzhou Science Museum. The focus of the trip was the culmination of our latest Unit of Inquiry. Students were split into groups and given assignments to complete as they explored the range of attractions at the museum.
On Monday, March 6th, Year 2 visited Huiling Farm. The students toured the farm and were allowed to feed pigs, cows, chickens and rabbits. They also had an opportunity to plant vegetables and make their own giant pizza. Please watch the videos to see how our day went.
Those first steps into education can be a daunting experience, but our Toddler Group helps to make it a smooth transition — building trust in a comfortable school setting.
Get ready to read! The UISG Library presents Obido Book Fair on March 9 – 11; that’s Thursday, Friday and Saturday during IFOL!
At UISG we believe that early childhood development is the foundation of all learning. We embrace inquiry through play as the child’s primary expression of their social-emotional, linguistic, cognitive, and physical development.
