Dear UISG Community,
It is with great excitement to welcome you and your children as the Early Years Coordinator for the upcoming academic year. I am honoured to have this opportunity to lead and celebrate your child’s successes and enthusiasm for learning as a family.
Having been a part of the UISG community for three years, I take pride in the interaction with our committed educators and in fostering our students’ development. As I transition into my new role as the EYC, I will draw upon these experiences as I partner with each of you to ensure your child’s success.
I have loved being an educator for 25 years. I have fostered inclusive communities that promote collaboration among students, teachers, and parents, resulting in a positive school culture. My 14 years of experience in International Baccalaureate (IB) schools have given me a deep understanding of the principles and practices of this educational framework. Working in diverse locations across China has broadened my cultural awareness and enriched my perspective. I hold multiple IB certificates and Teaching Young Children in English within Multilingual Contexts. I have actively contributed as a mentor and workshop leader for the school community.
On a personal note, my husband is a music enthusiast and teacher who shares my love for Guangzhou. Our son resides in the Czech Republic, while our daughter is in her freshman year as a university student. Both are proud IB graduates.
I’m excited to work closely with you to provide your children with the best education possible at UISG. Together, we’ll shape their bright future!
Sincerely,
Jai Roa
