Utahloy International School Guangzhou held a school-wide Chinese poetry recitation competition on the afternoon of June 7. The students provided an accompaniment of poetry and song, and their youthful exuberance lit up the poetic firmament and brought us a dazzling poetry festival.
The beauty of the classics of Chinese poetry has been passed down for thousands of years. The primary students gave their interpretation of popular classic poems with their young but powerful voices. Their pianoaccompaniment praised the elegance of “Chang’e”; they paid sincere and moving tribute to the bravery of “Mulan” and their dance was a graceful interpretation of the magnificence of the “Lushan Waterfall”. They showed a great appreciation of the poetic form both classical and modern and demonstrated an elegance and vitality in the rhythm of their poetry recitation.
The song of youth builds dreams for the future. The secondary students interpreted the lofty ambitions of “Man Jiang Hong” and “Po Zhen Zi” through the alternating heights and depths of their voices, and conveyed the firm beliefs of “Believe in the Future” and “Love Life” through changes in cadence and rhythm. The performances of the students were by turns passionate and unrestrained; gentle and melodious or deep and restrained. Each style was unique and charming, and they all used their own individual voices and emotions to interpret their feelings about poetry, which was refreshing.
After fierce competition among the contestants and strict evaluation by the judges, the final winners of the competition were:

Best Creativity Award: Nico & Kevin
Excellence Award: Feye, Sophia, Ethan, Landy, Shiwei, Sophia, Yanny, BJ & Bill, Isabella, Cici & Annie & Iris
The poetry which we heard was melodious and memorable. Long after the competition has ended, the charmof the performances will linger in the hearts of the students reminding them of the charm of the poetic form, the sound of the poetic voice and imparting an understanding of the true meaning of our lives.

诗意翩跹·声撼心弦广州誉德莱外籍人员子女学校2024中文诗歌朗诵大赛
乐声轻扬，诗韵绵长。为了让学生感受诗歌的魅力，浸润于经典的芬芳之中，广州誉德莱外籍人员子女学校于6月7日下午举行全校中文诗歌朗诵比赛。学生们一路浅吟高唱，如诗如歌，以青春之姿，点亮诗歌的星空，为我们带来了一场璀璨夺目的诗词盛会。
经典之美，传承千年。小学的学生以稚嫩却充满力量的嗓音，诠释着一首首脍炙人口的经典诗篇。他们琴音袅袅，歌颂“嫦娥”的飘逸；情感真挚，致敬“木兰”的英勇；舞姿翩翩，演绎“庐山瀑布”的壮美。在意兴横飞的诗行间领略古典与现代韵味，在抑扬顿挫的朗诵中展示风雅与活力。
青春之歌，筑梦未来。中学的学生们通过声音的轻重缓急演绎《满江红》、《破阵子》的壮志豪情；借助语速和节奏的变化诠释《相信未来》、《热爱生命》的坚定信念。同学们或慷慨激昂，或婉转内敛，每一种风格都独具魅力，都用自己的声音和情感诠释着对诗歌的感悟，令人耳目一新。
经过选手们的激烈角逐和评委老师们的严格评定，大赛最终评出：
