Dear Parents and Guardians,
After the sparkles of the IFOL last weekend, we have the glamour of the Senior Prom this evening in the ULC. Guided by the Heads of Year, this is a student-planned and student-run event. Encouraging students to take on this kind of responsibility, and supporting them in the process, is one of the goals we have of developing student agency and leadership. It should be a fabulous event.
Semester 1 reports
On Tuesday, Semester 1 report cards will be released and can be accessed via ManageBac. You will receive an email notification from ManageBac about this. As you review the report, please pay attention to both the grades and the Learning Behaviours. The report offers a snapshot of your child’s achievements and learning habits, helping them set goals for the new semester. We encourage you to read the report together with your child to facilitate a discussion about their progress. If there are any questions about the reports, please contact Ms. Gonzalez (MYP Coordindator) or Mr. Kyle Gray (DP Coordinator).
Last week of term
To celebrate the last week of term we have the following events happening. Please encourage your children to get involved.
Dress-up days:
Monday – pyjama day – students can come dressed in their cosiest pyjamas
Thursday – seasonal sweater / ugly sweater day
Atrium Activities
Seasonal arts and crafts activities all week long, with a CAS music concert on Wednesday
Whole school assembly – Friday 9:00 – 9:40 in the MFH
Science Competitions
This weekend is the International Science Bee competition (postponed from November), and next week we have our own Utahloy Science Competition taking place here at school on December 17th.
