In April, the Year 6 Utahloy Action Committee (UAC) students took a heartwarming initiative to support children battling cancer. Through their dedicated efforts, the students organized an ice-cream sale and successfully raised 2880RMB for the Gold Ribbon Special Children Parent Centre, an organization that provides crucial support to children fighting cancer. Continuing their spirit of compassion and generosity, on 10th May, the UAC students embarked on a visit to the Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Centre. During this visit, the students spread joy and smiles as they distributed flowers to children’s mothers. They also engaged the children in fun games and presented them with thoughtful gifts. The visit not only brightened the day of the children at the medical center but also left a lasting impact on the UAC students themselves. It served as a reminder of the power of empathy and community support in making a positive difference in the lives of others.Through their fundraising efforts and visit to the medical center, the UAC students exemplified the values of kindness, compassion and solidarity. Their actions not only showcased their dedication to serving the community but also highlighted the importance of coming together to support those in need.
