On Thursday 21 December, our K and K1 Wolf Cubs, embarked on an exciting field trip to a local strawberry farm. The anticipation leading up to this day was palpable, and it did not disappoint.
As we arrived at the strawberry farm, our young explorers were greeted with an enchanting sight. The strawberry fields stretched out before us, adorned with plump, juicy strawberries hanging from every plant. The children’s faces lit up with delight as they realized they were about to embark on a strawberry picking adventure.
Guided by their curiosity and armed with small scissors, our little ones eagerly scoured the fields, hunting for the largest strawberries they could find. Laughter filled the air as they discovered hidden treasures, carefully snipping each strawberries berry from its stem. Their excitement was contagious, as they shared with each other their plans to bring the strawberries home and savor them with their families.
It is moments like these that make field trips so special. Not only do they provide an opportunity for us to deepen our understanding of our current unit of inquiry, but they also create lasting memories and forge stronger bonds with friends. Today’s adventure will undoubtedly be etched in their minds for years to come.
