In Secondary, February 21st was a day dedicated to celebrating International Mother Language Day. Through a range of engaging activities offered during break and lunchtime, students and staff had a chance to embrace our linguistic diversity and the joys of a multicultural community.
Spanish students showcased their talents with captivating dance performances, while our Korean students delivered a mesmerizing taekwondo demonstration, followed by popular Korean songs.
In addition, our Language teachers and learners organized interactive booths where students could have their names written in Korean or Japanese, create their language portraits, explore cultural traditions, try French pastries or have fun guessing the origins and meanings of idioms from around the world.

MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY
At UISG, we take pride in welcoming a multitude of languages and providing opportunities for our students to embrace their mother tongues and celebrate the richness of languages and cultures. We firmly believe that languages are integral to individual identities, and a multilingual education plays a crucial role in fostering inclusion, respect, and unity.
