Dear Early Years Families,
General Information:
Thank you so much to all the families who joined Student Led Conferences. Our Wolf Cubs showed their learning, abilities, and engagement during SLCs. From single subject to mother tongue, and within the homerooms it was evident the children have grown so much through this academic year!
Next week marks our last UPTA All Parents Meeting of the 2023-24 academic year. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear about what is happening in the school community at large. There will also be a preview of the coming year with regard to staffing and new initiatives.
Now is an important time of year for the school to make plans for the 2024-25 academic year. The admissions department sent out enrolment reminders to all current families. To secure your seat for next year, please follow up with the admissions survey. We look forward to welcoming our Wolf Cubs into next year!

Dear Primary Families,
On Tuesday 21st May, Ms Nina Ashkinadze (Primary English Language Coordinator) will be running a parent workshop focusing on Raising Readers and Writers: connecting home and UISG. Parents are welcome to join from 14:10 – 15:20 in The Hub.
For students who are interested in acting, a TV series called “Growing Up Gas Station” will be filming two episodes on the UISG campus. Students interested in auditioning for a part in this TV series can go to the TV station in Huangpu District for an interview on any Saturday and Sunday. More information can be found through Managebac. This drama is about the troubles of children growing up and is expected to be filmed in Guangzhou for about 30 episodes. Each episode will be set in a different school in Guangzhou. All the children involved need to be able to speak Chinese, this includes students whose Chinese is an additional language but fluent.

亲爱的小学家庭，
5月21日星期二，Nina Ashkinadze 女士（小学英语语言协调员）将举办家长座谈会，重点关注培养读者和作家：连接家庭和 UISG。欢迎家长于14:10–15:20在 The Hub 参加。
对于对表演感兴趣的学生，一部名为“成长加油站”的电视剧将在 UISG 校园拍摄两集，有兴趣试镜这部电视剧的同学可以在任何周六、周日到黄浦区电视台面试。更多信息可以通过 Managebac 找到。该剧讲述孩子成长的烦恼，预计在广州拍摄约30集。每集都以广州的不同学校为背景。所有参与其中的孩子都需要能够说中文，这包括中文作为另外语言但流利的学生。

Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Year 12s finished their DP exams this week! That marks the end of one month of exams, two years of the Diploma Programme, and, for some students, the end of a lifetime of education at UISG (literally – Ridesh Song joined in 2008!). Well done to the Year 12s on completing those exams, and to Mr. Kyle Gray, the DP Coordinator, on leading them through this. We look forward to their Graduation next week on May 25th at the Ritz-Carlton hotel.
The Year 10 students also finished their MYP eAssessments this week. Their focus and dedication going into these exams was very impressive and is a testament to the preparation they received from their teachers and the MYP Coordinator, Ms. Xochitl Gonzalez.
Year 9 students have been working on their Community Project for the last few months. The Community Project seeks to engage students in issues of local, regional and global importance, and to take action on that issue. Students presented their projects on Thursday this week, and it was impressive to listen to their understanding of the issues involved, and also to hear the ways in which they hope to make a difference. Students as agents of their own actions is exactly what we hope to see in an IB education. Congratulations to them, and to Ms. Frederique Lemesle and Ms. Minette Coetzee who guided them throughout the process.

亲爱的家长和监护人，
12年级学生本周结束了他们的DP考试！这标志着一个月的考试以及两年的DP课程结束，对一些学生来说，在UISG的人生学途也结束了(字面意思是- Ridesh Song同学于2008年加入!)感谢12年级的同学们完成了这些考试，感谢DP Mr. Kyle Gray带领他们完成了这些考试。我们期待着下周5月25日在丽思卡尔顿酒店举行的毕业典礼。
