General Information:
Congratulations to our Wolf Cubs for their musical showcase, ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow,’ which occurred today. Many thanks to Ms Jessie, all our teachers, and children for a wonderful performance.
The creativity continues next week at our annual PYP art exhibition featuring the wonderful artworks by our talented UISG children. Mark your calendars for Monday 3 June, from 3:45 to 4:30 pm in the ULC. Get ready to be amazed by our Wolf Cubs’ artistic talents and enjoy some refreshments during the event.
On Thursday 6 June, K3 children will have some in-school transition day activities. These activities will provide children with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with their new teachers and the structures in place for the upcoming school year as they make the exciting move to Primary. It is a valuable experience to ease their transition and ensure a smooth start in the new academic year.

Year 6 students will be embarking on an epic end-of-year field trip to Rockin’ Jump on Monday 3rd June to celebrate the completion of their successful PYP Exhibition and mark the end of their time in Primary. Get ready to have a blast and make unforgettable memories! Enjoy every moment!
On Tuesday 4th June a group of Year 4 and Year 5 students will be participating in a GISES swimming tournament. Good luck to the team, go wolves!
Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the Year 5 PYP Exhibition! Join us on Wednesday 5th June for a captivating showcase of growth and learning by our brilliant Year 5 students. Witness their incredible projects, engaging presentations, and impactful actions as they delve into real-world issues. Your presence and encouragement play a vital role in fostering their development. See you there!
On Wednesday, June 5th, Year 6 students will participate in a transition day to Secondary. On Thursday 6th June, Year 5 students will have the same transition day. These days will provide students with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with their new teachers and the structures in place for the upcoming school year as they make the exciting move to Secondary. It is a valuable experience to ease their transition and ensure a smooth start in the new academic year.
The Year 4 students will be going on a field trip to the Art Institute of the Orient, located on Shamian Island, on Thursday 6th June. The purpose of the trip is to enhance our students’ artistic skills and appreciation for art in a real-world setting. During this excursion, students will engage in hands-on learning experiences with a local art teacher, focusing on drawing and ink painting techniques. Also, students will explore the area surrounding the building, observing and discovering interesting artwork and architectural features.
The Year 1 students will be going on a field trip to Rockin’ Jump on Friday 7th June. The objective of this field trip is to provide students with an opportunity to engage in physical activity in a fun and safe environment, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and social interaction to celebrate the end of the school year.

四年级学生将于6月6日星期四前往位于沙面岛的东方艺术学院进行实地考察。此次旅行的目的是提高我们学生的艺术技能和在现实环境中对艺术的欣赏能力。在这次旅行中，学生将与当地艺术老师一起进行实践学习，重点学习绘画和水墨画技巧。此外，学生还将探索建筑周围的区域，观察和发现有趣的艺术品和建筑特色。
一年级学生将于6月7日星期五前往 Rockin’ Jump 进行实地考察。此次实地考察的目的是让学生有机会在有趣且安全的环境中进行体育活动，促进身体健康、团队合作和社交互动，以庆祝学年的结束。

Dear Parents and Guardians,
What a fantastic Graduation ceremony and celebration last Saturday. If you were there, I am sure you have great memories of the event. For those who were not able to attend (and even if you were there) please do take a look at the videos and images in the school wechat channel which perfectly captures this superb event.
The Graduation also marks for us some transitions at school. The Year 10s have their completion ceremony on Monday and follow that with 6 days of transition as DP students; the Year 6s have a transition day in Secondary on June 5th, and the Year 5s have their transition day on June 6th.
On Friday June 7th there is a Chinese Poem Declamation competition, which is a highlight of the Chinese students’ classes. We also have students running our own in-house Model United Nations (MUN) next week, which will see students involved in debate, discussion and resolution creation, building their global awareness and understanding.
For parents of students in Years 7-10, I would like to draw your attention to the MAP reports which are available now on Managebac. Please remember that these are one additional source of information as to how well your child is doing, and that the MYP criteria grades are also a valuable data point. Final school reports will be generated on the last day of term, June 14th.
